1977 Ford Thunderbird, One Owner, 39k Miles on 2040-cars
Proctorville, Ohio, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Ford
Drive Type: 2 WD
Model: Thunderbird
Mileage: 38,736
Trim: Hardtop
I am selling a 1977 Ford Thunderbird that was my grandfathers. It has very low miles for the year, it is loaded with I believe every option that was available for these cars (excepting the Landau). It does need some TLC, he had it sitting under a carport but it still ended up getting some rust spots especially around the trunk lid and some on the lower quarters. The top will need replaced as well. It starts and runs and drives out fine. If it sits for a few days it is a bit harder to start than if you start it every day. It also has developed a leak at the header I believe. It does need a fuel sending unit as the old gas had eaten away the old filter screen, we put a cloth to replace the screen but I would recommend buying a new sending unit with a new pickup screen. Other than that, everything works well, the windows all roll up and down and the AC compressor cycles but blows warm air (probably needs a charge). This car could be driven while you restore it, its a nice piece of Ford history and with very low miles, it should be a decent investment of your time and money. I encourage anyone that is interested to come test drive the car or look at in person if you are serious on bidding. I can provide remote buyers a video of anything you want, including a video while I drive it. Bid with confidence, look at my feedback, I won't sale this outside of the U.S. or ship it to your friends uncle's house, be real and don't try to scam me. Please just real buyers.

2016 Ford Mustang GT bringing back hood turn signals
Sat, May 9 2015The 2016 Ford Mustang is being teased again, this time with a short video. And what you're looking at here is a nod back to Mustangs of the 1960s. Ford is bringing back a hood with turn signals in the vents. In 1967, Ford offered an optional hood on the Mustang with two heat extraction vents that faced the windscreen. Inside those vents were amber turn signals, so, you know, drivers could see their own blinkers blinking. A novelty feature, sure, but a nice historical cue that Ford is bringing back for its updated 2016 'Stang. We also know that Ford will offer a California Special pack on the 2016 Mustang GT. Beyond that, we don't expect too many more changes, seeing as how the Mustang was just completely redesigned for 2015. Stay tuned for the full details on Monday, May 11. Related Video:
Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang
Mon, 30 Dec 2013Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.
Trump did talk to Bill Ford, but the Kentucky plant was never moving to Mexico
Fri, Nov 18 2016President-elect Donald J. Trump has been butting heads with Ford for a while now. A lot of it seems to stem from misunderstanding or misrepresenting facts about how the automaker currently does business and its plans for the future. After a sit-down with executive chairman Bill Ford Jr., the misunderstandings continue, but Trump has apparently convinced the company to make some changes. During his campaign, Trump claimed that Ford was going to fire US workers and move manufacturing to Mexico. That wasn't the case – yes, Ford planned to transfer Focus and C-Max production from Wayne, Michigan, to Cuautitlan, Mexico, but no, that wouldn't mean anyone losing their job. The Wayne plant will continue to operate, and likely busier than before, as it will be the home of the new Bronco and Ranger. So Ford CEO Mark Fields responded with the facts, and then chairman Bill Ford Jr. sat down with Trump over the summer. Things apparently weren't resolved to Trump's satisfaction, so he and Bill Ford spoke on the phone yesterday as he claims in this tweet: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Let's pick that apart. First off, it's not a Lincoln plant, per se – the Louisville Assembly Plant currently builds the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC, two small crossovers that share a platform. Ford was considering moving MKC production out of Kentucky to Mexico, but it would not have resulted in many lost jobs if any – the union had already agreed to moving the MKC in 2015 negotiations, and taking production of the slow-selling Lincoln out of the plant would open up capacity for more Fords. Be that as it may, Ford has decided not to move MKC production out of the plant, either for political reasons of placation or because it didn't make the greatest deal of business sense, maybe a combination of the two. That means Trump isn't really saving any American jobs in the short term. If anything, this move could keep Ford supply-constrained and result in reduced sales, which in turn brings the company less money and affects the bottom line and all employees. But that's speculation, so we won't tweet it. There is of course the possibility that Ford will be convinced, either by sheer will or by a more attractive trade situation, to invest in increased US production, which could bear fruit later on. We are told by Ford that the two men did in fact speak yesterday.
