Very nice rare all original example of a 1970 Ford Thunderbird 2-door sportsroof with the rare Brougham option which includes factory console with buckets seats and sport lamps in the grill with the optional cloth hosack interior package. This car is a two onwer vehicle with 54,000 orig miles. We have full documentation which includes orig issued title, tags and dealer window sticker. This car was purchased new in Roanoke VA were it was garaged kept the entire time. It has a very strong running 429-4V engine with AT PS PDB front and all power options. AC works, all the gauges etc work great. The car still has it's original paint, all the chrome is exceptional, the interior is immaculate and original, vinvl top is excellent with the original cayman alligator material. All numbers matching through out. Nice example of a time capsule. The tires have good tread and the weather stripping and seals are excellent. The rear lower valance is scuffed due to bumper sticker removal at some point and the trunk has slight paint fade aside from that the car is exceptional! Has no leaks, unusual smells or noises.Frame, body and undercarriage are very solid with no rust issues. Runs and drives excellent. This one also has the very rare Thunderbird script emblems inside the door panels which was only used on a very few early 70 T-Birds then it was discontiued.  Car is being sold as-is with no warranty or refunds so please ask detailed questions.

TX officer allegedly lets 140-mph street racer go with a warning [w/poll]

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Being pulled over by the police is one of the most nerve-racking situations that a driver can go through, and it's even worse when you know that the officer has you dead to rights for speeding well over the posted limit. In this video, the driver of a heavily modified Ford Mustang with a claimed 966 horsepower at the rear wheels could have easily lost his ride for doing triple-digit speeds and street racing, but a friendly Texas police officer appears to send him on his way with a simple warning.
What's more, the driver in question wasn't just speeding - his Mustang was the camera car for a bunch of rolling street races in the wee hours of the morning on a Texas highway. The driver was more than willing to mix it up in the action, too. Eventually the cops catch on and pick the 'Stang to pull over, but not before the Ford owner runs a claimed 140 mph. With only audio to go on after the car is pulled over, the police officer seems incredibly nonchalant about catching someone who was so brazenly breaking the law. Incredibly, the patrolman actually tells the driver that he's seen everyone racing tonight but ignored them. With traffic picking up, the cop says that it's time to "cut it out" and go home for the night. As far as this video shows, that was the end of it.

Devils, Details and Weight Reduction
There are many things I could call this exercise. A party is not one of them.
I've spent three days crammed in the axle well of this 1989 Mustang with nothing to keep me company beyond a trouble light, a DeWalt drill on the very last of its legs and billion razor sharp, red hot slivers of metal with an affinity for my most sensitive of regions. My joints are raw from crawling around on the concrete. I'm half deaf from the shriek of the spot weld cutter and the boom of the cold chisel and hammer.
