How would you like to drive around in a car that will get stares and “Thumbs Up” from all ages?  Do you like get a real bargain? Maybe even a steal.

Well here is your chance.  58 years old and still going strong.

This vehicle was given to me by my father prior to his passing in 2008.  He purchased the vehicle from a local collector in 2003.  It always won a trophy when we entered it into a local care show in the Richmond VA area.

Why am I selling it?  Good question.  This is a wonderful car, but not what I ultimately want.  My father had 3 antique cars and this is the one he gave me.   I presently don’t have the time to drive it as much as I would like.  Doesn’t do anyone any good just sitting in a garage.

NOTE: I am not interested in a vehicle trade.

What I know about the vehicle…

·         Partially restored (75-80%) in early 2000 by a local collector.

·         Garage kept

·         Interior

o   Carpet shows normal wear, must not have been included in the restoration.

o   Seats are clean, no rips or tears.

·         Exterior

o   Clean paint job

o   Normal paint nicks from usage

·         Engine/Transmission

o   V8: Not sure if it is a 292 or 312

o   Runs great

o   Will occasionally come out of second gear if not under power. But how often will you stay in Second.

o   Three-speed on the floor.

·         Overall

o   Considered a “30 Footer”.

o   Will chirp the tires in all three gears.

o   Hard top convertible.

o   Continental kit.

o   Fender Skirts

o   Speedometer is not hooked up.

o   Mileage shows mostly Zeros. Not sure of actual mileage.

According to NADAGuides, this vehicle price range is:

                Low Retail:          $35,000

                Mid Retail:          $52,000

Even though it has a few minor issues, in my opinion the car easily exceeds the guidelines of a Low Retail car.

If you want more pictures or specific details, please do not hesitate to post a question.  I will answer your question as soon as possible and to the best of my ability.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: First production 2015 Ford Mustang earns $300k for JDRF [w/video]

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

We've almost become immune to the huge dollar amounts that collectible cars earn for charity at Barrett-Jackson. To wit, $300,000 for the first production 2015 Ford Mustang initially didn't seem like very much money. In reality, though, it's probably about 10 times the actual asking price for the car, and we're pleased to report that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
According to Ford, the car's winning bidder will get to "choose a fastback with manual or automatic transmission, and any interior, exterior and stripe color combination offered by Ford on the all-new Mustang." Power will come from a slightly revised version of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine that will produce "more than 420hp and 396 pound-feet of torque."
We snapped live images of the 2015 Mustang prototype that Ford had on display here at Barrett-Jackson, and you can check them out above. The official auction description, along with a video of the auction as it happened live, is below.

Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.

Fields 'required' to use private aircraft, could make $5.25M as Ford CEO this year

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Mark Fields' travels on the friendly skies will soon be a relatively personal affair, as the new CEO at Ford will be required to resume air travel via the company's private planes. Fields caught plenty of flak in 2007 for flying on the company's dime to visit his family in Florida. He's since flown commercial.
According to Ford spokesperson Susan Krusel, who spoke to Bloomberg, Fields (pictured above right, with Bill Ford, Jr. at center and Alan Mulally at left) will switch to private travel "for safety and to maximize his availability for company business." In addition to his new travel arrangements, the 53-year-old exec's salary and bonuses have been revealed.
Regulatory filings by Ford revealed that Fields, whose first day in the big chair was July 1, will receive a base salary this year of $1.25 million and he'll be eligible for $3.5 million in bonuses, both of which are lower than Alan Mulally's $2 million salary and $5.88 million in bonuses received last year. That's also lower than General Motors CEO Mary Barra's alleged $1.6-million salary and considerably less than Sergio Marchionne's $3.19-million fixed salary from Fiat. Despite falling short of other CEOs, Fields' new pay still represents a 33-percent increase over his pay as Chief Operating Officer.
