This is a NO RESERVE auction for a 2002 Ford Taurus SE with 123,304 miles on it. It was purchased by our business from a government BMV agency that used it as an administrative vehicle. It has ALL MAINTENANCE RECORDS ON IT SINCE BRAND NEW!! The ONLY issue with this car is the rear brake pads are needing replaced because I can start to hear them make a slight noise-THAT'S IT!! Otherwise, this car has NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS AT ALL! It has NO RUST, NO LEAKS, NO MAJOR DENTS OR SCRATCHES. The transmission shifts nice and smooth and the engine runs great and has no issues.It has very good treaded Goodyear tires with 8/32 tread on them and space saver new spare tire in trunk. There isn't much else to say about this car because I have described it as accurately as I can. This is a very good price for this car, however it is still a 2002 and over 10 years old and has normal wear and tear and minor scuffs and scratches. However, this is still a very good price for this car. It has a 'Buy it Now' price on it, but I think that usually goes away after a bid is placed. I have medical issues and am distributing out some of my business vehicles and do require that the winning bidders follow through with the terms of the auction. The big dune jump and the damage done

The Silver Lake sand dunes see their fair share of well-built trophy trucks executing impressive jumps. Drivers build insane pieces of machinery for the express purpose of sailing through the air like mad men and women.
Mike Higgins is no stranger to the area. His heavily modified Ford trophy truck has gone flying through the sky on more than one occasion, but he recently bit off more than he could chew. After hitting a particularly lofty dune, Higgins went airborne for a ridiculous 180 feet before becoming intimately familiar with the finer points of gravity.
While Higgins nailed the jump, his landing fell short of wowing the judges. The impact very nearly broke his truck in two. Despite the mechanical mayhem, the driver walked away without a scratch, proving that occasionally miracles really do happen. You can check out the jump and the subsequent destruction below for yourself. Be warned: there's a fair bit of foul language.

2015 Ford Mustang production to begin on July 14? Not quite, says Ford

Mustang6g.com believes that it has unlocked start date for 2015 Ford Mustang production citing a Ford dealer communiqué. According to the report, job one on the 2015 hardtop will allegedly start in just a few days, on July 14, although units that are known as "OK to Buy" won't enter production until September 9. The cars built between those dates are most likely final pre-production cars for the executive test fleet, and will likely include the cars we'll be driving at the media launch.
Sun worshippers, meanwhile, would seem to have a longer wait. Job one on the droptop supposedly isn't slated to start until September 14, with production models starting on October 27. As is the case with the hardtop, these final pre-pros are for the execs and media to test, while actual dealer orders will come from vehicles made after the October date.
After speaking to Ford, though, we wouldn't put a great deal of stock in those dates as reported. We reached out to Said Deep, Ford's North American Product Communications Manager.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.
