Up for auction is our Ford Taurus. This is a black one with a spoiler on the back which are hard to find and (as you can see from the pictures hopefully) look much nicer than most of the basic Taurus' out there.
It is fully loaded with power everything. It has the MACH sound system in it. It has the deluxe climate control, the multi-CD changer, rear drink holders and vents for air and heat (really nice if you have kids). The rear seats fold down so the trunk is open all the way up to the front seats.I
My wife was in a fender bender and it had damage to the left front fender, grill, front bumper and hood. There was never any frame damage or airbags deployed but did cause the car to have a salvage title.
The fender, grill, bumper and hood have been replaced and now the car looks really great for a 2001. It also runs perfectly with no problems at all. My wife take turns driving it back and forth to work every day and we wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere.
This car is awesome to drive! It has one of the higher horse power/torque engines and has tons of power.
You will be very happy with this car. It is solid, drives perfect and would rate in “excellent” shape.
Issues: Nothing besides the usual small dings and such that you'd expect for a 2001 vehicle. There is a little bit of rust at the bottom of the sills under the rear doors. Easily fixed and you can't see it with the doors closed. It's not even very noticable with the doors open. It still looks really good but not perfect.
The winning bidder will need to pay a $500 deposit within 24 hours and the balance within 5 days. You can leave the car here as long as you wish once it is paid for.

2014 Ford Mustang GT
Fri, 17 May 2013I was more than a year removed from my last experience with the Mustang GT and its delicious 5.0 V8 when this new 2014 example rolled up to my driveway recently. Good weather and a planned road trip across the state meant that I would get plenty of seat time in this conservatively specified example, too. In total, I logged about 400 miles in a week of driving - not a lot for some of you super commuters out there, but quite a lot for this work-from-home journalist.
The basic formula of the 5.0 has stayed the same for 2014. The 2013 model year saw a number of updates to keep the Mustang fresh until it's replaced with an all-new generation for 2015. So, for its bon voyage tour, the fifth-generation Pony Car has seen only a few modifications: a couple of new paint colors (Oxford White and Ruby Read Metallic), trim and wheel revisions and, sadly, the deletion of the Boss 302 from the Ford lineup. However, while the limited-edition Boss is likely to reappear sometime after the gen-six Mustang makes its debut in 2015, the GT Track Package cars like the one I tested provide at least a partial solution for those looking for hot laps.

Ford using robot drivers to test durability [w/video]
Sun, 16 Jun 2013In testing the durability of its upcoming fullsize Transit vans, Ford has begun using autonomous robotic technology to pilot vehicles through the punishing courses of its Michigan Proving Grounds test facility. The autonomous tech allows Ford to run more durability tests in a single day than it could with human drivers, as well as create even more challenging tests that wouldn't be safe to run with a human behind the wheel.
The technology being used was developed by Utah-based Autonomous Solutions, and isn't quite like the totally autonomous vehicles being developed by companies like Google and Audi for use out in the real world. Rather, Ford's autonomous test vehicles follow a pre-programmed course and their position is tracked via GPS and cameras that are being monitored from a central control room. Though the route is predetermined, the robotic control module operates the steering, acceleration and braking to keep the vehicle on course as it drives over broken concrete, cobblestones, metal grates, rough gravel, mud pits and oversize speed bumps.
Scroll down to watch the robotic drivers in action, though be warned that you're headed for disappointment if you expect to see a Centurion behind the wheel (nerd alert!). The setup looks more like a Mythbusters experiment than a scene from Battlestar Galactica.
