1997 Ford Taurus Wagon.  This vehicle is a good running vehicle.  I drove it at least 50 miles a day from August last year to April this year when I purchased another vehicle.  I have had no problems with it.  It has a sunroof (working), and a 6 disc cd changer in the back of the vehicle.  Comes with a cargo cover.
The only thing wrong with the vehicle is that it needs an overdrive solenoid.  Not sure how much that will be, but the check engine light is on because of this.  It was on when I purchased the vehicle, and I have driven it the whole time without problems.  However, you cannot go over 55, or the engine revs to over 3000.  If the solenoid was replaced I think this vehicle would do great.  Like I said, I drove it just the way it is and it did fine. It also needs tires. There are a few scratches and small dings, but that is expected, the vehicle is 16 years old.  The mileage is original, and I have the title in hand.

JUST ONE NOTE:
IN THE PAST I HAVE HAD BIDDERS THAT DO NOT PAY WHEN THEY WIN----IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE, PLEASE DO NOT BID!!!!

I am moving and have to sell this vehicle - I do not have the time to go through all the mess of having to relist. Please if you have any questions, contact me, I will answer them as soon as I can.  Thanks!!

One more note:  After looking at these pictures, I realize the car looks like it has large scratches on it, it DOES NOT, the vehicle has been sitting in my yard and is just dirty.  Sorry, the quality of the pictures are not as good as I would like.  Please contact me if you have any questions at all.  Thanks!

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Thu, 22 May 2014

It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.

Ford to reveal Vignale sub-brand with special Mondeo in Frankfurt

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Ford says that 10-15 percent of its customers in Europe want their cars to be set apart from regular Fords - even those wearing the top Titanium X trim - and the Blue Oval will answer them with the Vignale sub-brand. The new brand proposes a more upscale look and a much-improved dealership experience, Autocar reports. The Vignale Mondeo will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show to kick off the new endeavor.
The first Ford to receive the Vignale treatment will be the 2015 Mondeo, a Euro-only model, followed by the new S-Max and Edge. The Vignale Mondeo is set apart visually from other Mondeos by a chrome grille and chrome door handles and mirror caps. Mondeo badging will be deleted - only Vignale badging will make an appearance.
The interior will get a more upscale flavor, as well, with quilted leather seats and door trim and leather covering the instrument panel, center console and steering wheel. A Vignale-badged storage drawer will be installed in the trunk, and in-car Wi-Fi is available.

Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.
