2006 Ford Ranger Stx Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 3.0l (excellent Condition) on 2040-cars
Ocala, Florida, United States

Up for sale is my 2006 Ford Ranger STX. I have owned this truck since it had 40k miles on it and it has given me zero issues. The truck now has 156,2xx miles on it, which is the ONLY downside to this truck. I recently had my local mechanic(Ford Specialist) go through the entire truck for any maintenance that needed to be done, there is nothing else this truck needs. It is ready to be someones daily driver or whatever they want it to be for many more years to come. This truck has never been off road during the time I have owned it, never driven hard. It was garage kept until just the last year when I moved into a new house (just too much stuff in the garage currently). ICE cold AC, even on the lowest setting, it will freeze you out. Ive never been in another vehicle that blows air this cold and so quick, even on the hottest Florida summer day. Factory stereo/speakers in truck sound incredible and can get very loud without any distortion. Pioneer AVIC F90BT Navigation Radio is NOT included with the purchase of the vehicle. I can leave it installed if buyer wishes to pay an additional cost of $500 to leave it in, otherwise will come with factory mp3 radio. The Pioneer unit has bluetooth hands free, iPod interface, turn by turn navigation(which works great) and back up camera(capable). If you're looking for a Ranger, this is the one you want. I hand selected it after spending months looking for the right one. It's near flawless and has all the maintenance work already done. I now offer this gem for sale and can assure you that this beauty will not disappoint and will last for many thousands of miles more! EXTERIOR - Condition 10/10 - No scratches, dents or bug damage - Brand New Headlamps - Brand New Foglamps - XLT Chrome Grille Surround - XLT Paint Matched Bumper W/ Fogs - Access Vanish Low Profile Tonneau Cover ($400) - Professional Tinted Windows (legal) - LED Brake Light Bar - Inside of Bed does have scratching on floor, it was this way when I bought the truck. I assume from a plastic liner when the original owner had it. INTERIOR - Condition 9/10 - ICE COLD AC. Will freeze you out within 5 minutes on the hottest summer days. Heat is the same way, blows very hot during winter. - This model comes with bucket seats w/ blue inserts that look really nice and set this truck apart from the others. Also has a flow through console w/ cup holders and large storage. - Driver seat is starting to show wear only in a small 1" area. Other than that, interior is in near perfect condition. No scratches our gouges in plastics, etc. - Faux Carbon Radio Bezel W/ Fog Light Switch and Charger Port (Factory on STX) - Stereo in this truck is incredible. Very loud and very crisp, no blown speakers. - Factory MP3 Double DIN Radio. I currently have a Pioneer Double Din Navigation Unit Installed and it looks incredible in this truck. I can include it in the sale for an additional $500. Otherwise, will come with factory radio installed. DRIVETRAIN - 3.0L V6 w/ 5Spd Manual Transmission w/ 156k Miles - New Clutch, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Slave Cylinder installed within last 5k miles. - New Coil Pack, Spark Plug Wires and Spark Plugs installed within last 5k miles. - Fresh Oil Change (synthetic) and Transmission Flush less than 100 miles ago. - K&N OEM Replacement Air Filter - Brand New 235/75/15 Tires w/ Raised White Letters - PowerSlot Rotors w/ New Brake Pads Buyer pays shipping costs but will help with arrangement If you have any questions please email me at billy@presidentialdetailing.net or contact me by phone at 727-455-1502. Please leave a voicemail if I do not answer. I reserve the right to end this sale early as it is also for sale locally. Thank you |

2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost Review
Thu, Feb 26 2015"It's just a V6 Mustang." That phrase, so often spoken with derision and disdain, has haunted owners of Ford's more affordable and economical pony car since roughly April of 1964. Even after Dearborn finally paid some attention to its entry-level muscle car by eliminating telltale V6 features – the company fit dual exhausts in place of the single-exit pipe in 2011, negating the budget offering's biggest visual giveaway – the car was still hard pressed to shake its reputation as a hairdresser's car and rental fleet queen. For the Mustang's 50th year in service, Ford went back to the drawing board, we think with the distinct goal of eliminating the stigma of the non-V8 Mustang. While the V6 is still being offered (your local Avis and Enterprise lots wouldn't be the same without them), it's best to think of the new, four-cylinder, turbocharged Mustang EcoBoost as the entry-level model. But will the addition of forced induction – from an engine that will see action in the upcoming, enthusiast-centric Focus RS, no less – be enough to appease those pony car fans that believe that only Mustangs with eight cylinders are worthy of the galloping stallion badge? After a week at the helm, we certainly think it is. The new Mustang's looks have been covered ad nauseam. Chances are good that you either love the fastback styling, or you think the original pony car now looks a lot like a Fusion Coupe. We'll ignore the bigger styling remarks for the 2015 Mustang, and instead, focus on what's done right with the EcoBoost model. Like the V6 before it, certain boxes are correctly ticked. Dual exhausts? Check. 18-inch alloys? Check. (Our EcoBoost Premium model even shares its wheels with the base GT). HID headlamps? Check. Up front, there's a surprisingly meaty chin spoiler while the muscular lines of the 'Stang's long hood tie in nicely with the fastback shape, which terminates in a neat rear spoiler. There's even a body-colored diffuser at the back, between the chromed exhaust tips. The bottom line is, unless you're a true Mustang aficionado, you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference between the turbocharged car and its 435-horsepower brother. Simply sitting in the redesigned cabin isn't enough to give the EcoBoost away, either. The leather-trimmed seats (standard on the Premium trim) are cozy and supportive, with plenty of bolstering to help keep both driver and passenger in place while the 'Stang exhibits its newly enhanced cornering abilities.
European car sales up 8% in February
Sat, 22 Mar 2014Three weeks ago an analyst increased projections for European car sales this year, expecting them to climb three percent compared to last year instead of 2.7 percent. That number is a postive sign after years of hard times but it turns out February was especially good, overall European sales climbing eight percent on a wave of southern European recovery and discounts - and this comes after five months of gains including January's 7.2-percent jump over the year before.
The only country of Europe's five largest markets to post a decline was France, just as it did in January, Germany, the UK and Italy posting solid double-digit numbers, Spain rocking the charts with an 18-percent increase because of a government program to encourage trade-ins.
The only brand to miss the wave was Volkswagen, dropping 0.8 percent as it watched the double-digit growth at sister brands Audi, Seat and Skoda lift the Volkswagen Group sales up by seven-percent. Peugeot overcame flat sales at Citroën to improve the group by 3.5 percent, BMW and the Mercedes-Benz/Smart combo rose by four percent, the Fiat group jumped 5.8 percent, Ford was up 11 percent, the Renault Group 11.5 percent, General Motors 12 percent and the Toyota clan by 14 percent.
Ringbrothers shows off Coyote-powered 1968 Mercury Cougar
Thu, Feb 25 2021We'll openly admit that not every SEMA build is our cup of tea. But this? A tastefully resto-modded 1968 Mercury Cougar with a 460-horsepower Ford Mustang V8? Yeah, this is right in our wheelhouse. Sadly, there was no in-pwerson SEMA show in 2020, so we missed out on gems like this one. SEMA or no SEMA, the aftermarket carries on, and co-owners Jim and Mike Ring of Ringbrothers (get it?) saw no reason to let their time and effort go to waste. When they're not building wild customs (see: 1,100-horsepower 1972 AMC Javelin AMX) or more subtle showcases (such as this Cougar or their 1971 K5 Chevy Blazer build from 2018), the folks at Ringbrothers crank out factory reproduction parts, whether for old-fashioned restoration or modification purposes. While '60s muscle cars are recurring build subjects for the two, the Cougar was the first of its kind they tackled. Keeping it in the family, Ringbrothers sourced a Ford 5.0-liter "Coyote" V8 and a 10-Speed Automatic (lifted from an F-150 Raptor, incidentally) for the build. They didn't stop with the driveline, of course. The suspension was overhauled with a little help from DSE and a set of HRE Series C1 C103 Forged 3-Piece wheels were thrown over upgraded brakes. "We put our heart into each car we build, and this Cougar is no exception," Jim said. "The finished product is mild and classy, yet any enthusiast instantly knows it's not stock. I imagine this is what Mercury designers would have come up with if they were building the Cougar today." "While we couldn't bring the car to the SEMA Show, we hope it can be shown to the public soon," Mike said. "We had never done a Cougar before, so this was a fun build. I love working with new shapes and coming up with new ideas." There's plenty to appreciate about this Cougar apart from the mechanicals, too. The finish is Augusta Green Metallic (courtesy of BASF), which was a factory color in 1968. You may know it by another name: Highland Green. There are a few custom exterior touches, but they're quite subtle and styled to be period-correct. The interior was also restored and updated, and it's where you'll find the only thing we're not fond of: that big, fat truck shifter. Gearbox choices notwithstanding, it's a bit of an eyesore. But considering how gorgeous the rest is, we'll give it a pass. Related Video:
