THE TRUCK HAS NEW BRAKES AND DISKS UP FRONT AND GOOD REARS, THIS WAS A NON SMOKER VEHICLE. THE TRUCK HAS A BEAUTIFUL TWO TONE BLACK INTERIOR THAT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, IT ALSO HAS 2 SMALL SEATS IN THE REAR . IT HAS AN AM/FM RADIO WITH CD. I INSTALLED AN I-PHONE, MP3 JACK (WHICH CAN BE REMOVED IF NOT REQUIRED). THE RANGER HAS POWER WINDOWS AND DOOR LOCKS, , AIR CONDITIONING. THERE IS ALSO A FACTORY BEDLINER IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AS WELL AS A BED COVER. THE BODY AND PAINT OF THIS TRUCK IS ALL ORIGINAL (INCLUDING PAINT) AND IS IN EXCEL;LENT CONDITION FOR THE YEAR AND MILAGE. NACTOY announces top nine finalists for Car, Truck and Utility of the Year
Thu, Nov 16 2023Finalists for the 2024 North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) Awards were announced at this year’s L.A. Auto Show. This whittles the field down to nine vehicles in total, with the winners scheduled to be announced on January 4, 2024. The finalists in their respective categories: Car category: Honda Accord, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Toyota Prius Truck category: Chevrolet Colorado, Chevrolet Silverado EV, Ford Super Duty Utility category: Genesis Electrified GV70, Kia EV9, Volvo EX30 These nine cars were chosen from a list of 25, which was previously narrowed down from a list of 52 eligible vehicles. Notable misses include the Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray, Toyota GR Corolla, GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Blazer EV, Chevrolet Equinox EV, Mazda CX-90 and Toyota Grand Highlander, among others. Ford F-150 EcoBoost in NHTSA probe for acceleration issue
Tue, 28 May 2013According to Automotive News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a probe into 400,000 Ford F-150 models over possible acceleration problems. According to the article, NHTSA has received 95 reports "alleging incidents of reduced engine power during hard accelerations" on 2011 to 2013 F-150 models equipped with the company's 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
Automotive News reports that Ford has issued three technical service bulletins "related to intermittent stumble/misfire on acceleration from highway cruise in humid or damp conditions," according to the government agency's documents. About one third of the 95 reports NHTSA has received cited humid or rainy conditions when these problems allegedly occurred.
These technical service bulletins have allowed dealers to address a "condition related to moisture accumulation in the charge air cooler during extended highway cruising at constant throttle in humid or damp conditions," AN reports, citing NHTSA documents. Furthermore, the TSB outlines details for "reprogramming the powertrain control module with the latest calibration and installing a new CAC and air deflector plate."
