This auction is USA ONLY _______+++++ don't bid unless your in the United States of American and can make shipping arrangements or pick it up personally----This is a 73 Ford Ranchero -- its had the 73 front end changed out for the better looking 72 front end. The VIN is a 73 --it was restored several years ago with 6 months of body work and prep-- very nice base coat clear coat paint job. Its a 78 GM saddle tan. It now has a 460 thats been bored and stroked to 490 cubic inches - custom after maket rods and pistons -- aluminum Air Research heads that have been worked over as well. Hydraulic roller cam with titanium valve keepers, stud girdles and roller rockers. Edelbrock Performer RPM thats powder coated- Holley 870 Street Avenger and a DUI hei style distributor. The rear end has 3:90 gears, 35 spline Dutchman axles, aftermarket nodular case and Daytona pinion support billet steel yokes -long heavy duty wheel studs and open lug nuts. Has the Hurst pistol grip style shifter -Has a set of 200s Wheels -these are a set of original wheels that have been restored/polished on lip area with the dull cast finish centers. This cars runs 12.3 in the 1320 in street trim. If this engine was in a 71 ranchero or a mustang it would easily run 11s. Trans has been beefed up as well - has a saturday night special converter that stalls around 2000rpm locks a bit higher--it explodes the tires if your heavy footed. Working line lock, X pipe exhaust with Flo-masters- Has an aluminum radiator and a single electric fan - has a vacuum pump due to the camshaft (640 lift Hydraulic roller)- it runs an Oberg fuel filter and a Mallory electric fuel pump. This car runs very good, have two rev limiters on board because it revs very fast - I HAVE DRIVEN THIS CAR ON THE STREET and in cruises very nice but i would NOT recommend using as a daily driver. Ken Block's 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR and CR Supercars Villain are retro done right
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Gymkhana king Ken Block has had a pretty simple car history in his trademark videos, starting out with Subaru Impreza rally cars before moving into Ford Focus racers for the past four installments. His next video, though, Gymkhana Seven, kind of goes back in time.
Rather than the cutting-edge rally racers of past videos, Block will pilot a heavily modified 1965 Ford Mustang, called the Hoonicorn. How heavily modified is it? Well, Block's Hooligan Racing Division, ASD Motorsports and Vaughn Gittin Jr.'s RTR, spent two years working on it, ditching the standard engine and rear-wheel-drive layout and replacing it with a 410-cubic-inch Roush Yates V8. Yes, that's a NASCAR engine, and it produces 845 horsepower.
A NASCAR-powered Mustang would be news in itself, but it's the other powertrain changes made by Block and Co. that really makes headlines. Power is channeled through a one-off Sadev transmission and all-wheel-drive system, meaning that Block has basically married a NASCAR stock car with a WRC racer. ASD also developed the customized suspension, tubular chassis and roll cage. The wide Mustang body is the work of RTR and Block's own Hoonigan Racing Division, while the 18-inch fifteen52 wheels are shod in Pirelli Trofeo R tires that use a specialized compound exclusive to Block.

Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
