2000 FORD F-150 HARLEY DAVIDSON EDITION. This is the first year for FORD AND HARLEY DAVIDSON to build the truck. Several magazines have already named this vehicle as a collectible. Ford only built 6,100 of these vehicles in its Canadian plant, so they are very rare.  The exciting part is that this truck has only 4,500 miles on it. This is very rare to have this low mileage for a truck of this age. The truck is immaculate inside and out as the pictures show. According to the previous owners the vehicle has never been used as a truck or ever towed anything. The interior is like new and still has a smell of leather. The truck has never been smoked in.  The exterior is the same with two tiny blemishes that I could not get to show on camera. All the glass is in great shape, with no blemishes. Tires are original and are like new.  The first owner had the Holley Supercharger installed and as you can see in the pictures it is all polished billet and sets the engine compartment off. All gauges, lights, signals, horn work .  This was the first year Ford used 20 inch wheels and they went on the Harley Davidsons.

UNDER THE TRUCK YOU CAN STILL SEE  BARCODE LABELS PRODUCTION CODES AND MARKS ETC.

I did have one problem with the engine cutting out when I drove the truck. The local Ford dealer installed a new EVO PROGRAMMABLE TUNER and the truck has ran beautifully since.

The reason I am selling the truck is I need to get a crew cab truck that I can use every day.

Please e-mail me if you have any questions  (   jfboyd1942@cox.net   ).

I will contact the winning bidder at auctions end to setup payment, and establish transport procedures.

THANK YOU

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.

Is Tesla's next project an F-150 competitor? [w/poll]

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

What's the future look like for Tesla after it launches the Model X CUV and possibly a smaller, sub-Model S sedan? Would you believe a pickup truck? Yes, Tesla could be looking to use its EV know-how to take the fight to Ford and the F-150, based on comments made by company founder Elon Musk.
"If you're trying to replace the most gasoline miles driven, you have to look at what people are buying," Musk said during an impromptu Q&A session following a speech at Business Insider's Ignition conference. "[The F-150 is] the best selling car in America. If people are voting that's their car, then that's the car we have to deliver."
And while the idea of electric pickup may sound kind of absurd to some, Musk makes a very valid point - if Tesla's goal is to replace gas miles with electrical miles, it simply can't afford to ignore pickups.

How Ford plans to handle insurance and repair questions surrounding new aluminum-bodied F-150

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Building a car out of aluminum has a number of benefits - the lighter weight allows the vehicle to be more agile, more fuel efficient, make better use of its power and be more resistant to dings and dents. The downside to the advanced construction, though, is that repairs are both challenging and expensive. That's troubling for the new, aluminum-bodied Ford F-150, because it's kind of made a name for itself as a rugged, durable work vehicle.
How will the legions of Ford buyers cope when it comes time to insure and repair their new trucks? Well, according to Ford, it's expecting a ten-percent jump in insurance costs for the aluminum-bodied F-150, although Ford's truck marketing manager, Doug Scott, was quick to point out that the F-150 is generally cheaper to insure than its competition from Ram and General Motors. "At the end of the day, that's sort of a wash," Scott told Automotive News at last week's Detroit Auto Show. "We've spent a lot of time and feel very comfortable that that's not going to be an inhibitor."
The other issue facing Ford is the distinct lack of body shops that have the training or equipment to repair aluminum-bodied vehicles. AN cites an estimate from the Automotive Service Association claiming that of the 30,000 independent body shops in the US, less than 10 percent are able to work on aluminum.
