This
is a really cool, unique, F250 DIESEL shop truck hot/rat rod. Original clean California Pick Up
with a Mercedes turbo diesel and 3 speed Auto Trans. This little rod was converted by a professional mechanic and used as his personal daily driver for the past several months. It has complete Mercedes drivetrain including legendary 6 cyl turbo diesel, automatic, and independent rear end and suspension. It works amazingly well in this truck... Plenty
powerful, reliable, easy driver with great fuel economy... This bad boy will run excellent on diesel, bio diesel, or vegetable oil!! This classic is in great condition all around.
Looks awesome with matte black sitting on 22's... runs fantastic. I have built and owned many diesel conversions (customdiesels .com)... I had a grand plan for this one but have some time/space issues so I'm going to offer this for sale one time... this is an opportunity... its a high teens-low $20K truck with a little work... Cool vintage diesel hot/rat rod truck
would be
awesome weekend cruiser, daily driver, or addition to any
collection... The body is pretty darn straight and 99.5 % rust free... the only real rust is on the bottom front edges of rear fenders... theres a trim piece available to cover that or easily addressed... the rest of the truck and the underside is super solid... nice and clean.Flat black repaint looks cool and a patina shop job would be awesome and easy. Bed was shortened a few inches... no tail gate... easily had or made. It has a cool stance with 22 inch rims... It has the entire Mercedes Rear sub frame including independent coil suspension... I was going to lower the front to match and ad power steering/brakes... it looks and works fine as is... Get's looks and compliments everywhere we roll... The interior is great. Dash and gauges are nice and most work properly. Seat is comfortable. Electronics and lights all work properly. Diesel motor starts idles and runs fantastic... GREAT power and sounds cool... runs excellent on diesel, bio diesel, or vegetable oil!! 3 speed auto shifts smooth and strong through the gears... Heavy duty Mercedes rear end. Gear ratios are great around town and cruises nice on the freeway as well. Has disk brakes in the rear and original drums up front... The ride is surprisingly good and stops straight and sure. Strong and reliable... ready to roll. Overall this is a really cool American Classic Hot/Rat Rod DIESEL pick up in great condition all around. Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
Last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible nets $500k for charity at Barrett-Jackson [w/video]
Tue, 13 Aug 2013The last 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible was sold on Saturday at a Barrett-Jackson auction in Reno, Nevada, for $500,000. Ford donated the Mustang to be auctioned for charity, and all of the money is going to the Brain Injury Association of America.
Parnelli Jones, winner of the 1963 Indianapolis 500, was there on behalf of the BIAA with his son Page, who suffered a brain injury in a sprint car crash in 1994. The bidding increased quickly, reaching $500k in no time, spreading a bit more hope to people who live with brain injuries.
The winning bidder will be able to choose the GT500's exterior, interior and stripe colors, and is scheduled to receive the car, signed by Parnelli Jones in appreciation for the donation, by the end of 2013. Watch the video below to see the auction-block action.
