HELLO,
I HAVE A GREAT RUNNING 2001 F550 SUPER DUTY XL. IT HAS A 7.3 TURBO POWER STROKE MOTOR AND AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

IT HAS COLD AIR CONDITION AND THE CRUISE CONTROL IS WORKING. ALL GUAGES WORK. GOOD OIL PRESSURE AND IT DOESN'T RUN HOT. I PULLED A BIG ENCLOSED TRAILER WITH IT AND NO PROBLEMS.

I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK TO MOVE MY STUFF FROM NORTH CAROLINA TO FLORIDA. I MADE TWO TRIPS (PULLING A TRAILER) AND IT RUNS GREAT, SHIFTS GREAT AND THE AIR CONDITION WORKS GREAT.

I START THE TRUCK EVERY WEEK AND LET IT RUN FOR 30-45 MINUTES AND MOVE IT AROUND MY PROPERTY SO THAT IT JUST DOESN'T SIT.

I HAD THE RECEIVER HITCH INSTALLED AND IT HAS THE FOUR WIRE PLUG FOR TRAILER LIGHTS.

THE BOX IS 16 FOOT LONG. A 1967 FORD F100 SHORT WHEEL BASE TRUCK FIT INSIDE WITH THE ROLL UP DOOR CLOSED.

THE WALK UP RAMP IS IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK AND IS INCLUDED WITH THE TRUCK.

THE RADIO IS MISSING BUT THE FACTORY PLUG IS THERE AND IT HAS POWER GOING TO IT, SO NO CUT WIRES.

IT HAS A DENT IN THE FRONT BUMPER AND PASSENGER DOOR. THE DOOR WAS TOUCHED UP. SEAT HAS A TEAR IN IT.

THE TRUCK RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. NO PROBLEMS. DOES NOT BURN OIL AND IT STARTS EVERY TIME EVEN IN COLD WEATHER.

THIS TRUCK IS NOT NEW BUT IT IS A WORK HORSE. IT HAS THE LEGENDARY 7.3 POWER STROKE SO NO PROBLEMS THERE.

HAS TWO NEW TIRES. THE OTHER TIRES ARE OK BUT NOT NEW.

ROLL UP DOOR WORKS GREAT. ONE OF THE PANELS IS CRACKED BUT THE DOOR ROLLS UP NICE.

THE FRONT RIGHT CORNER OF THE ROOF ON THE BOX HAS BEEN REPAIRED. WOOD FLOOR IS IN GOOD SHAPE HAS OIL STAIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

THE TRUCK CAN STAY ON MY PROPERTY FOR AS LONG AS YOU NEED BUT MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN SEVEN DAYS.

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms

Mon, 17 Jun 2013

Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.

Ford announces first non-pursuit-rated police car ever

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Ford announced its first non-pursuit-rated Police Interceptor ever, based on the Taurus, which employs the smaller 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine in place of similar pursuit-rated Police Interceptors powered by naturally aspirated 3.5-liter and 3.7-liter V6s and the top-spec 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. Officially called the Special Service Police sedan, the car was commissioned at the request of law-enforcement agencies that desire a more fuel-efficient vehicle for detectives, administrators and campus police, who don't necessarily need pursuit-rated vehicles.
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine produces 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, but more importantly, it allows the SSP sedan to achieve somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg highway, which are the civilian 2.0-liter Taurus' official EPA ratings. Ford estimates that the SSP sedan will get 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined, with the help of Active Grille Shutters that open to allow more cooling air through to the radiator, or close to optimize aerodynamics and fuel economy. Those numbers compare favorably to the discontinued Crown Victoria-based Interceptor's 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway and the newer Taurus-based cars equipped with V6s, the most fuel efficient of which gets 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
If it was driven 90,000 miles over the course of three years, a 2.0-liter SSP sedan would save law enforcement agencies $5,042.92 versus the Crown Vic, Ford estimates. The EPA is expected to post official fuel-economy numbers for the SSP sedan in December. Until then, read the press release below for more information.
