THE TRUCK SITS GOOD AND ACTUALLY LOOKS COOL.

THE TRUCK IS 40 YEARS OLD,I WOULD IMAGINE THERE WILL BE ODDS AND ENDS STUFF GO WRONG IN THE FUTURE,I DONT KNOW WHAT........THE CARB NEEDS CHOKE ADJUSTING,WHEN I BOUGHT IT THE FUEL FILTER WAS 90% STOPPED UP,THE PRIOR OWNER KEPT BACKING THE RICH/LEAN SCREW OUT FOR POWER.(NOT REALIZING THE FILTER WAS STOPPING UP)WHEN I CHANGED THE FILTER IT WOULD BURN YOUR EYES OUT AT IDLE.I TURNED THE SCREW IN ALL THE WAY TILL IT STALLED AND THEN BACKED IT OUT 1 AND A HALF TURNS.IT IDLS GOOD AND GOOD ACCELERATION.THE CHOKE WILL NEED ADJUSTING BEFORE WINTER.THE SEAT IS RIPPED,BUT I DO HAVE PATHFINDER COVERS THAT GOES WITH IT.IT DRIVES OK BUT,I WOULD PUT BALL JOINTS IN IT BEFORE I DRIVE CROSS COUNTRY.WILL NEED WIPER BLADES,WINDSHIELD RUBBER WILL NEED REPLACING EVENTUALLY,THE COOLANT OVERFLOW BOTTLE HAD A HOLE IN IT,SO I TOOK A 1970'S DRINK BOTTLE AND MOUNTED IT FOR A OVERFLOW BOTTLE.I WOULD PUT POINTS,AND WIRES ON IT BEFORE WINTER.
I AM SURE IM FORGETTING SOMETHING,AND THE TRUCK IS SOLD AS IS!!!!!!DO NOT COME LOOK AT IT HOPING IT LOOKS LIKE A NEW TRUCK WITH A WARRANTEE,THE ROCKERS HAVE RUST,THE BODY HAS DINGS,BUT ALL LOOK COOL WITH CLEAR ON THEM,THE REAR BUMPER IS CRAP BUT I HAVE IT,FRONT BUMPER IS GREAT SHAPE,NEEDS A DRIVERS DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR,BED HAS A FEW SMALL RUST HOLES IN THE FLOOR,#################FRAME IS SUPER NICE FOR A TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!########NO CARPET,FLOOR WAS PATCHED,BUT,A NICE JOB WHEN THEY DONE IT.REMEMBER,YOU ARE BUYING IT AS IS WHERE IS JUST LIKE I BOUGHT IT,I HAVE DRIVEN IT A GOOD BIT WORKING OUT LITTLE BUGS LIKE A NEW FUEL FILTER,FIXED A CUT ALTENATOR WIRE, FIXED A GROUND TO THE COIL.FIXED THE COOLANT OVERFLOW BOTTLE. Shelby American cleans house of 14 concept cars

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Typically when an automaker rolls out a concept car or pre-production prototype, it does its tour and then disappears into the company's archives. Maybe it will be displayed for the public to see in the company's own museum or maybe it will spend most of its time under covers in a warehouse somewhere, but every once in a while, an automaker will open up its history and start selling off its concept cars. For Shelby American, "once in a while" has just rolled around.
The House that Carroll Built is moving from its previous headquarters at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to a new facility off of the Las Vegas strip, and in the process is liquidating fourteen of the rarest cars in its collection. That presents a tremendous opportunity for muscle car collectors to bring one or more of these snakes home.
As you might expect, the catalog is composed mostly of Mustangs, but not exclusively. There's a pair of 289 Cobras: the last of the 50th anniversary slab-sided continuation cars and an original development vehicle, offered at $200,000 apiece. At the other end of the spectrum you'll find the 2013 Shelby Raptor concept for $125k and Focus concept for $50k. And of course there are the Mustangs.

Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
