1955 Ford F-100 Marmon Herrington 4 Wheel Drive, Custom Cab, 4-speed on 2040-cars

Year:1955 Mileage:92681
Location:

1955 Ford Marmon Herrington

This is a rare marmon herrington half ton truck, it is one of two that are known. I believe this truck belonged to the fire department because upper cab was painted a off white, it had a short wave radio in it at one time, it had a logo on the door, and upper front fenders also. This one is a red custom cab, and this one has the mid year change were they changed the front axle to match the rear which is Dana 44 axle. The truck runs good, but does smoke some, and I redone the brakes with new wheel clys, rubber hoses, and master cly. The truck is solid with one rust spot in the bottom door post on the drivers side that I have a patch panel for, along with new taillights, taillight wiring harness, wipers arms, wiper blades, ignition switch with key, cigar lighter, horn button, parking light lens, NOS seat upholstery, 16" wheels that were sand blasted and painted the correct torch red with new 6.50-16 super traxion tires. The color coded wiring harness inside the cab looks great, and everything works inside the cab like gauges, lights, heater, and so on. I have a Kansas title, but its not a open title, and Georgia will not give me a title because we were not a title state in 55, so it is being sold on bill of sale only. I reserve the right to end auction at any time. All zero are low feedback bidders please call me are I will have to cancel your bid. Please ask question are call 404-867-3163 cell.

 Thanks Terry

eBay Find of the Day: 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe is showroom fresh

Tue, 27 Aug 2013

There's an ultra-rare Ford Thunderbird for sale on eBay, although it's not quite the T-Bird you're probably thinking. This is a 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, complete with a five-speed manual transmission and just a shade over 13,000 miles on the clock. The condition is said to be mint, and judging by the interior and exterior pictures, we're inclined to believe the seller. The paint is glossy and the interior looks showroom new, while the underbody is stunningly clean for a 36-year-old car.
Underhood sits a 2.3-liter, intercooled and turbocharged four-cylinder (also found in the Mustang SVO) that was producing 190 horsepower when it left the factory. Inside, the five-speed manual transmission adds to the car's rarity. The vehicle's sole owner has been as immaculate with the paperwork as he has with the rest of the car - it's all there, including brochures and other product material.
The eBay auction ends tomorrow at midnight (9:00 PM if you're on America's west coast). Bidding has reached $10,200, and there's still plenty of time to get in on this future classic. The vehicle is located in Millstone Township, NJ.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

MyFord Touch getting second update, extended warranty

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

There is no doubt that Ford has had its hands full fielding complaints with its MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems these days, but looking to keep its customers happy, Ford is once again upgrading its infotainment systems and extending the warranties. Despite having just sent out updates for its systems back in March, Automotive News says that customers are still complaining about the speed and ease of use.
Vehicles with MyFord Touch will now get a five-year, unlimited-mile warranty, while the MyLincoln Touch will have a six-year, unlimited-mile warranty. Previously, the systems were covered under basic warranties (three-year, 36,000-mile for Ford and four-year, 60,000-miles for Lincoln).
What is being referred to as "version 3.5" for the MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch systems will be mailed out (or downloaded) next month for owners of cars without navigation and in January for cars with nav. Owners of hybrids, plug-ins and electric vehicles will get the update sometime in the first quarter of next year.
