1940 Ford Hotrod, Ratrod, Streetrod, 350 Engine, Automatic, Chevy 4x4 Drivetrain on 2040-cars
Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States
This 40 Ford is a solid great running truck with a Chevy V-8 engine and drivetrain, the automatic transmission shifts great but does have a transmission leak not sure where but when it sits I see an area with fluid on the floor. I just add transmission fluid and it works great. I have not had time to locate the leak and fix it yet. The bodywork has had quite a bit of work done to it buy a body shop but still needs to be finished and painted. I will assist to have it shipped once the funds are cleared if you are bidding from far away. I will also answer any questions I can if you email or call me at 413-446-4888 (Bob) or text. I was going to finish the truck to a show quality hot rod, but it could also be a fun rat rod or Street rod once finished. If you are local the truck is at my shop and can be seen anytime. Bid with confidence this is a solid hot rod truck project. Must sell need to finish my other projects and unfortunately i do not have to to complete this truck. I have a clean title which is titled for a 1940 ford truck. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!! NOTE : The last couple of pictures of the truck when it was green with black fenders are when I first bought the truck BEFORE we started all the bodywork the pictures of the truck that shows the body filler and primer are the way it sits now. It will need body work finished and will need to be painted.

Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
2015 Ford Mustang spied on video for the first time
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Not many cars will continue to hold our rapt attention quite like the upcoming redesigned 2015 Ford Mustang, codenamed S550 internally. Earlier this month, we brought you the first spy photos of a next-gen Mustang prototype out testing, and even though expertly placed cladding concealed the pony car's new shape, we could tell that underneath was hiding an altogether new form inspired by the Evos Concept from 2011.
Today we give you some video of what looks to be the same Mustang prototype, which you can watch below, and while the budding director behind the camera wasn't able to capture much in the way of the engine's audio signature, we can see the car in motion for the first time and compare its relative size and shape to the S197 Mustang GT that's on its tail.
Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
