Up for auction is a cool 1930 Ford Model A project truck. This truck will be VERY cool when finished. All of the hard work has already been done. The chassis is a handmade 2x3 tube with kick ups front and rear so it sits right but still has plenty of head room. The front end is a suicide style with new aftermarket spring kit. The rear end is a 10 bolt GM with AIR BAGS and 3 link style suspension. The motor is an early 327cid backed by a TH350 (IT IS NOT RUNNING). This motor came out of a running truck. It just needs all the accessories hooked up and new gaskets put on. It will also need exhaust built for it. The supercharger in the pics was put on there to show what it would look like with a blower. The blower setup does not go with it. The truck does come with a lot of extra and new parts to almost get it going. It also has a bed off of a Model A truck. This truck is a project and still needs work....... Also comes with a TITLE. Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio

A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost flogged and analyzed by Ignition
Mon, 13 Oct 2014Aside from the way it looks and perhaps its independent rear suspension, the biggest bit of news on the 2015 Mustang may be the inclusion of its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That blown mill marks the first time since the Mustang SVO of the '80s that a turbo has been fitted under the engine of Ford's pony car.
The Mustang EcoBoost is the subject of the latest episode of Ignition from Motor Trend, giving us a great look at the technical, nitty-gritty side of the turbocharged coupe. Covering it from bow to stern, host Carlos Lago walks us through the boosted Ford before taking to the track for some driving impressions, with particular praise given to the low-end grunt of the 2.3-liter mill.
