1966 Mustang Coupe PROJECT.

The body is in great shape and the work is 99% finished. Currently in base primer.
Has a clear title.
Comes with most parts to complete and many extras - including Ivy Gold Pony seats.
The chassis has welded sub frame connectors
Floors, rockers, and all areas are RUST FREE and in good shape. Firewall has only light surface oxidation as seen in photos.
Does include a hood.
Please note that the fenders, doors and trunk lid are loosely in place and not yet shimmed.

The rolling chassis is equipped with front disc brakes and power steering.
Comes with a basic 302 and a C4 transmission. Engine was running fine a few years ago when pulled and should only need oil change and re-tuned once installed.

You will need some glass and trim, weather stripping, door panels and other easy to get parts and finishing items. I do not have a specific inventory of what is here or what is missing. I can tell you that there are a lot of parts in boxes, including window regulators, instrument panel, dash pad (new) and a bunch of other items for the car.

Obviously this is a Major Project car and you will need to supply some parts and pieces and plenty of labor. It was stripped down, chassis was blasted and painted, sub-frame connectors added and so on.
I inherited this project and do not know all the details, but will try to answer any questions you might have.

I am listing this car for cheap with NO RESERVE, so please DO NOT expect a ready to run show car ! It is a roller and a project, however, if you know Mustangs, you know that these are easy to get anything for and easy to build. Use this very solid base to build your Resto Mod !!

Selling due to having no time or interest in completing it myself.

Ex-PR chief Vines accuses Ford of bugging cars, phones

Fri, 24 Oct 2014

Jason Vines, former head of communications at Ford among other automakers, is accusing the Blue Oval of bugging his company phone and his car during the Firestone tire recall for the Explorer in 2001. The allegations have come to light in Vines' upcoming book What Did Jesus Drive? Crisis PR in Cars, Computers and Christianity.
According to The Detroit News, which has an advance copy of the book, Vines (pictured above) claims that after leaving the company, someone with security within Ford advised him that he had been bugged around the time of the recall. The allegations don't stop there, though. Vines further contends that he might not have been the only one to get this treatment, noting that then-general counsel John Rintamaki also believed he was being listened to.
According to The Detroit News, even if it had been a company phone, recording Vines without his knowledge still would have been a felony under Michigan law.

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

2015 Ford Focus ST zooming toward Goodwood reveal [w/video]

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Ford has quite a party ready for the Goodwood Festival of Speed starting on June 27. Not only is the 2015 Mustang going to be driving in front of the European public for the first time, the Blue Oval is also unveiling its 2015 refresh for the Focus ST.
Official details about the latest Focus hot hatch are practically nonexistent at this point. Ford's teaser image shows narrower headlights, and the company says that the ST also benefits from the technical and quality improvements from the refreshed standard model, which likely means an even more Aston-Martin-like grille. However, any improvements for the power or handling are a mystery for now.
Ford will even give visitors to the festival the chance to drive the new ST - at least virtually. Gran Turismo 6 kiosks will be on hand with the hot hatch loaded up to race the Goodwood Hill Climb. There will also be real-time races between former Stig Ben Collins in the real ST challenging a player up the hill in the game.
