The car was painstakingly restored for MCA Judging over a four year period, attaining the Gold Status award earlier in 2013. After reviewing all the pictures below, you will see the level of detail taken to return this car to its as delivered status. Judging sheets are available. Now is it ready for it's new owner... The early year Fastback Mustangs are becoming increasingly hard to find. The 428 Super Cobra Jet and the Boss 302 are the rarest of the 1969 Mustangs. My shop has gone thru all the mechanicals and the car is ready to drive. This is the best color combination and will draw attention wherever you go. There was a new dual stage repaint in the factory Black Jade Metallic. Correct Blackout hood and SCJ Ram Air Shaker Hood scoop. The interior of the car is also new. Correct Black Clarion bucket seats, door panels, and carpet were installed... Every aspect of the interior of this car is new and the correct level of detail and restoration.. All new or revamped original chrome and stainless trim throughout. Equipped with the factory 428 / 335HP V-8 engine and original four speed manual transmission... Uber hopes facilities in Detroit will help shape its autonomous future
Mon, Sep 19 2016Hot off the heels of unleashing its fleet of self-driving vehicles in Pittsburgh, PA, Uber announced plans to open a new facility in the Detroit, MI area, reports Automotive News. The new facility was announced at an event hosted by Society of Automotive Engineers in Detroit, MI. Uber's vice president of global vehicle programs Sherif Marakby revealed the news, reports Automotive News. The facility is meant to help the ride-sharing company collaborate with suppliers and automakers in the area. There's no word on where Uber will build the new facility or how big it will be, as those factors have yet to be determined. Just like Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI could become another testing ground for the ride-sharing company. The latest move to open a facility in the Detroit area comes after Uber offered users in Pittsburgh the chance to ride in one of its autonomous vehicle as it looks to gain vital real-world testing. Uber is utilizing a fleet of modified Ford Fusions. Earlier this year in April, the automaker announced a partnership with Google, Lyft, Uber, and Volvo to develop autonomous cars. A new facility in Detroit would strengthen the partnership and help Uber, as well as Ford put autonomous vehicles on the road faster. Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
