You are viewing a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0.  If you are familiar with the 5.0, then I need to say no more!  For anyone who isn't, I'll put it this way...I am a hardcore Chevy guy, but I bought a Mustang. Enough said!  This really is a bad a$$ car! The new 5.0 really is an incredible engine!

The car is in near showroom condition.  Adult driven and NOT abused.....only pampered! There is one very small chip on the bottom left corner of the trunk lid.  If I didn't point it out to you, it would not be noticed (I couldnt even pick it up on the camera.)  It still smells new with only 9200mi.  It has only seen a light rain one time when I was on my way back home from a family event.  In fact, it has never seen a night outside since I have owned it since it stays in a climate controlled garage.  Interior is like the day it was bought, minus a small scuff on the inside driver door handle (I know I'm being picky but I want you to know exactly what you're buying.)  The car is basically fully loaded less heated seats, navigation, and a sunroof.  It does have the MYCOLOR guages and the Kicker Shaker stereo system. The tires all have even tread which is approx 90% (these are mounted on the 19in rims.)

The car is basically stock except for a few items...

  • 20% 3M window tint on all windows (except windshield)
  • Car has been lowered approx 1-1.5in using Ford Dragpack components (see blue rear links in pics)
  • SVT GT500 axleback exhaust (very nice tone, not loud, just clean muscle sound...also have stock exhaust as well)
  • SVT GT500 rear spoiler
  • MGW full upper/lower shifter (This is THE BEST SHIFTER for a 5.0...period! Look up MGW and see what they are about, much improvement over stock)

This car will be a great deal to anyone in the market to purchase a near new 5.0 for much less than the mid-high 30's price tag.  The reason for the sale is the recent purchase of another boat.  We have a few toys already and the new boat was fairly expensive. As a result, we have decided to sell the car ( I have literally put less than 2000mi on it in the last 6 months!)  This car is being sold at NO RESERVE.  The reason for no reserve is this....every no reserve auction I have created always has a better outcome than the ones with a reserve.  It doesn't matter if its a 7k atv or a 30k car, the results are the same.  If anyone has any questions, please call me at 504 957 6004.

This car does have a lein on the title currently through Ford Motor Credit.  This is the first vehicle I have sold without paying it off so this is new to me.  Again, please do not hesitate to call me @ 504 957 6004 if you have any questions about anything.

On May-17-13 at 14:26:11 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have received a question in regards to this car being wrecked.  I assure you that this car has not been wrecked, repainted, or had any damage since I have owned it.  I also checked the history report before pyrchasing and found no negative information.  I have been a body/fender tech for quite awhile so I know what I'm looking for when buying a vehicle.  Please be confident in what you are viewing.  What you see is what you will get. There are no surprises!

*****Another question I received was about the title.  Upon payment, if needed I will notarize a letter stating that I will payoff the vehicle IMMEDIATELY following clearing of the purchase payment.  There is less than 15k owed on this car and I have no problem paying this vehicle off.  However, I was advised that it may be easier for someone else to finance from bank to bank rather than individual to bank (if thats what you are planning to do).  Not sure how true that is, but thats why it hasnt been paid off. Also, if you do not have the funds PRIOR to the auction's end, please do not bid...Thanks!*****

Why the 2015 Detroit Auto Show will be the best since The Crisis

Tue, Dec 30 2014

The Detroit Auto Show clearly has its swagger back, and the 2015 edition will be a veritable feast for the enthusiast senses. We're talking serious performance, and it will be exhibited in a variety of forms. Sports cars. Supercars. Muscle-bound luxury cars. They're all set for splashy debuts in January in the Motor City. It's another signpost that companies have recovered from the global economic crisis that gripped the industry from 2008-09. For a while, automakers played it safe at Detroit and other shows. Environmentally friendly cars were important, especially for General Motors and Chrysler that were living on loans from Uncle Sam. Ford, Toyota and other companies generally focused on their best-selling or core models. With a few notable exceptions, recent auto shows have been a bit more buttoned-down than in the past. Boring probably isn't the right word, but austerity has been reality. That's changing. Car companies are making money. Sales are up. Aside from the many nagging recalls – and they are notable – the industry now has the time and energy to make performance cars a priority. That will be offered in hard evidence in Detroit. A year from now when we look back at this auto show, we'll sum it up with one word: Horsepower. But make no mistake, this isn't frivolous. Sports and luxury cars are expensive. They're profitable. They boost images and highlight strengths. With that in mind, here are five significant performance-oriented reveals to watch for when the show kicks off in less than two weeks. 2016 Acura NSX Acura's reborn NSX is a strong bet to earn plenty of votes for our Editors' Choice awards. It's one of the most anticipated – and strung-out – reveals of the year. Think back: we actually saw an NSX concept at the 2012 Detroit show, and Acura has spent the last three years teasing the car in a variety of ways. The slow burn, however, means we know a lot about the NSX. It's will use a mid-mounted twin-turbo hybrid powertrain and run with all-wheel drive. It will also wear an innovative zirconium e-coat paint, a new paint process that Honda says is more environmentally friendly. Honda has also said it will build the new NSX in Ohio, where a large part of the car's development work has been done. The original NSX was produced from 1990-2005 and helped establish Acura's performance credentials in the United States. It was a landmark car and a shot across the bow of Ferrari, Lamborghini and others.

The 2019 North American International Auto Show might have been a little more quiet than past years, but there were still some pretty major reveals, including the Toyota Supra, new Ford Explorer, Shelby GT500, Subaru WRX STI S209 and Kia Telluride. We also saw some lovely concepts like the Nissan IMs and Lexus LC Convertible. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Senior Green Editor John Beltz Snyder join me, Associate Editor Reese Counts — with Social Media Manager Michael Dylan Ferrara behind the camera — on a long walk through the show. We discuss cars, poke around the stands, dress a bloody wound and answer your questions in the Facebook comments. For more Detroit coverage, you can check out Autoblog's picks for the best in show, listen to our podcast or look at the best images from all the reveals. 2015 Ford Transit Connect Wagon

Thu, May 28 2015

The last time I tested a Ford Transit Connect, I needed to drive a group of friends to Boyne, MI, for a long weekend of skiing, snowboarding, and shenanigans. At roughly three hours, the trip is just long enough that my friends asked for something comfortable. A Range Rover would've been ideal. Perhaps a Mercedes-Benz GL or Cadillac Escalade. But no, I chose Transit Connect, to put Ford's small van formula to the test. The tiny van was near the end of its lifecycle in 2012, having debuted in Europe in 2003. Its age was reflected in its loud, underpowered, inefficient engine; noisy, harsh ride; and uncomfortable seats. It was so uncomfortable that we had to stop every hour just to stretch our legs. I didn't have such elaborate plans when this 2015 Transit Connect Wagon arrived in my driveway. But after a week behind the wheel, I can tell that road tripping in this van would be a far, far better experience. The most obvious change for the second-generation model is the styling. It's much better looking than the old TC, looking like the high-roofed spawn of a Focus and Escape. There are a few anomalies, though. First, note the word "Wagon" – that implies passenger van, while the cargo/work-minded Transit Connect is called "Van." Next, this Titanium model is only available on the longer-wheelbase, three-row Wagon. With the LWB configuration, the only tailgate option is a single-piece, lift-up hatch. If you want barn-style doors, get cozy with the short-wheelbase, two-row Transit Connect XLT. Regardless of body style, the Transit Connect Wagon's best styling feature is its enormous greenhouse that guarantees excellent visibility from any angle. The interior adopts a dash layout similar to the Focus. The heated leather seats – standard on the Titanium – are nice enough, but better still is that the chairs are actually comfortable now. The plastics on the dash and doors are still hard and scratchy, but fit and finish is solid. And with major contact points and switchgear that have been pilfered from other Ford products, including the steering wheel, the occasional bad bits in the cabin are easy enough to ignore. With room for three folks in the second row and two more in the back, the Transit Connect Wagon fills a role that is more utilitarian and spartan, but not much less versatile than traditional minivans. The middle row seats feature stadium-style raised seating, and both rows can slide forward and back or fold.
