This Mustang has been restored and is in pristine condition, Every area of this car has been gone thru and restored or replaced. It has every available option and is perfect in every way. I will try to list some of the things that have been done however I'm sure I will forget a few. Starting with the exterior the entire car was disassembled, stripped and repainted the factory color black less than a year ago, the convertible top and headliner was replaced with a cloth one 5 months ago, The wheels are 18" Konig's with Nitto high performance staggered tires, It is lowered with Eibach sport tuned springs, The grill is a factory Mach 1 running horse, The headlights and taillights have smoked covers to enhance the look and protect the lights that have also been replaced with new ones. The interior is pristine with brand new factory carpet, floor mats. The leather seats are perfect with no rips, tears or blemishes. The audio system has 2 10" Kicker subwoofer's with 2 high powered Pioneer amplifiers and a Pioneer CD radio. It also has a remote start alarm system with perimeter motion detection while the top is down. The engine is the the 3.8L V6 and runs perfectly with just over 100k miles the automatic transmission was replaced along with a complete overhaul of the rear end. I have an extensive file of receipts and notes on the car since I purchased it in 06/2009 I have well over 18k in this car and you would be hard pressed to find another in this condition. I am not desperate to sell and it is not driven, It sits covered in my garage on a battery tender and can continue to sit until someone can appreciate the work that has been done to it. Find out if the Ford Fiesta ST can match Europe's latest hot hatches
Tue, 11 Feb 2014The V8 grunt of the Mustang has defined Ford performance cars in the US for the last 50 years, but in Europe, the Blue Oval has nearly as a long history of building some of the best hot hatches on the market with the Fiesta, Escort and later the Focus. The latest Fiesta ST has just hit the roads on both sides of the pond and has been enthusiastically received thanks to its combination of a peppy, turbocharged engine and hatchback utility.
However, Europe is getting a bumper crop of hot hatches at the moment, including the forthcoming, third-generation Mini Cooper S. Should Ford have waited to launch the ST until it knew how the competition performed? The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams
Sun, 11 Aug 2013As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.
