LOW RESERVE!!!

1994 Ford Mustang GT
Absolutely stunning paint job (paint job alone would cost you more than the blue book value for the car).  No expense spared on the paint (pictures are worth a thousand words).
Fully built 5.0 stroker (400HP+)....details below
This is an amazing sounding cammed muscle car...It turns heads like no other car I have ever owned
It is extremely fast.  I have never run it in the quarter mile, but it is way faster than a 2011+ 5.0 (non supercharged of course).  The fact that this car is 600lbs lighter helps a lot!
And the best part...A/C and heater work perfectly.. this can be a daily driver.
You will not find a cleaner GT unless you are looking at a brand new one!
The car has 129k miles. Everything has been gone through on the car though. Motor, trans, and rearend have less than 4k miles. Suspension is new as well. Brakes, paint, radio. Etc. Everything has been touched (and upgraded).
Partial list of upgrades:

HP Aluminum rims 18"
Michelin 245s on front. Nitto 305 drag radials on rear
F303 cam
Gt40 intake manifold
BBK cold air intake
Edelbrock intake elbow
Ported Gt40p heads
Full MSD ignition
Flat top wiseco pistons
Eagle crank
BBK shorty headers
BBK H-pipe  Twin flowmaster 40s
Underdrive pulleys

Polyurethane suspension bushings

Tremec t-5 rock crusher trans.
Kevlar clutch with adjustable cable.
Saleen short shifter
3.73 rear gears with tru-trac LSD and moser axles.
New slotted and drilled rotors on all 4 corners with all new pads.

There are only a few minor potential cons with the car (definitely minor, but I want to be as upfront as possible):

The motor build and cam are very aggressive. This means that cold idling is an issue. If you hop in the car and go everything is fine, but if you just start the car cold and expect it to idle it won't. You would have to hold the revs up a little.  Once warm it idles fine and you can drive it anywhere.   Like I said the solution is to drive the car, if you get in it start the engine and go you will be fine.  Also due to the aggressive cam is another idling issue with the A/C. The car does not like to stay running at idle while the A/C is on. When you are driving it is fine and is ice cold. The solution is to turn the A/C off when you come to a stop. These issues are going to be common to any car built like this.

The stock leather interior was switched out to fabric for weight reduction. Unfortunately the previous owner selected seats that obviously had belonged to a smoker. There are a couple burn holes in the front seats. They are not that noticeable with the black and gray tweed material.

The polyurethane bushings squeak.  This is almost inherent to poly bushings.  The performance advantage outweighs the noise in my mind. There are different types of grease/lubes that are supposed to work.  I have not gotten around to addressing this.  The solution would be to find a good grease that works or switch back to rubber bushings (please don't).

Come Take a look at the car, you will not be disappointed.

All known issues have been disclosed.  Car is sold As/Is with no warranty.  Vehicle test drive and/or inspection recommended before bidding.  Just email me and we can set up a time.

Ford will lay off 700 employees in Michigan

Fri, Apr 24 2015

Lagging sales of compact and electric cars are starting to take their toll on automakers. Ford said Thursday it intends to lay off 700 employees who work at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI, over the next five months. The plant makes Ford Focus and C-Max vehicles. Sales of both have stalled in recent months. The layoffs affect 675 hourly and 25 salaries employees, and will begin in late June and continue through September, according to paperwork filed with state officials. The company expects to re-hire the affected employees elsewhere and use them on temporary basis throughout the summer. Ford spokesperson Kristina Adamski said the affected employees will be "first in line" for other jobs at nearby plants, and UAW vice president Jimmy Settles said he expected all would be re-hired at other southeast Michigan factories by "early 2016." Although industry sales have remained high overall, the growth has come from SUVs and pickup trucks. Conversely, compact cars and alternate-powered vehicles like the C-Max have struggled to find customers amid cheap gasoline prices. Focus monthly sales fell 14.5 percent year over year in March, and C-Max monthly sales dropped 22.9 percent over the same period. It was less than three years ago that Ford hailed the Michigan Assembly Plant as a model for its future, one that would quickly adapt to market conditions through a more flexible assembly process. The plant was retrofitted at a cost of $550 million so that the same assembly line could install electric, plug-in hybrid or gasoline powertrains. Ford produces the Focus, Focus ST, Focus Electric, C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi here. At the time, company officials said the flexible line was a way to "not be trapped with dedicated one-trick-pony plants where you have under-capacity or over-capacity situations," said Jim Tetreault, Ford's vice president of North American manufacturing, in November 2012. But that's exactly where Ford finds itself as consumers have turned away from both compact and gas-sipping hybrids and electrics as gas prices have fallen to a national average of $2.49 per gallon, according to Thursday's AAA Fuel Gauge Report. One year ago, gas prices averaged $3.70 per gallon. In perhaps a melancholy twist, the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator that were phased out at Michigan Assembly by the retrofit are once again the types of vehicles that are sought after by consumers.

Ford Mustang hit by Moore' Oklahoma's EF5 tornado lives to do another burnout

Fri, 07 Jun 2013

Oklahoma recently saw the destructive power of an EF5 tornado, but in the aftermath of the devastation, we've also been witness to the incredible resilience of the human spirit. Moore, OK resident Jack Haden survived the storm but found that his 2003 Ford Mustang wasn't quite as lucky. As you can see in the image above, the tornado's 200+ mph winds did quite a number on the car, but while most people would have likely called their insurance company and scrapped the car, Haden had other plans.
After finding the car and seeing that its V6 still fired up, Haden spent a couple hours getting the car, um... roadworthy(?)... by removing the doors and front clip, cutting off the roof and putting on some new wheels and tires. He noticed that driving it around brought some comic relief to an area that needed a reason to laugh and smile. Check out the KSBI TV news report video below showing before and after pictures of the tough 'Stang, as well as a video showing the newly lightweight coupe doing a smoky burnout.

Ford spider screen keeps creepy-crawlies out of cars

Wed, Aug 5 2015

Ford is waging a global war on spiders with the 2016 Focus RS. The little beasties can be a real menace to a vehicle by blocking lines with their dense webs, but engineers at the Blue Oval now have a new screen that they claim keeps the bugs at bay. Yellow sac spiders especially like to craft their webs in fuel vapor lines, but blocking the way can cause pressure to build, leading to a safety issue. Implemented in 2004, Ford already has a screen to keep the creepy-crawlies out. But the company now has an updated version in North America, and the Focus RS is the first global vehicle with it. "We are constantly improving and adapting, even when it comes to technologies that are already working," said William Euliss, Ford fuel systems engineer, in the screen's announcement. It might seem like a waste to put engineers on the task of making a spider screen, but the device could save Ford money in the long run. Arachnids have been responsible for the recalls of hundreds thousands of vehicles in the US over the years. Mazda issued two campaigns on the Mazda6 due to the webs causing pressure to build up in the fuel tank and potentially leading to a split. There was also a similar recall from Suzuki, and another one covering the air conditioning system on Toyotas. LOOK OUT! HERE COME THE SPIDERMEN: FORD ENGINEERS USE ARACHNID LEARNINGS TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE SCREEN TO KEEP CREEPY CRAWLERS OUT AUG 5, 2015 | DEARBORN, MICH. Ford engineers developed an innovative spider screen to keep the creepy crawlers from nesting inside vehicles Screen prevents spiders from building cocoon-like webs dense enough to potentially block fuel vapor lines, which can damage engines and diminish vehicle performance Now, an updated version of the spider screen is being implemented in Ford vehicles in North America; it will go global with launch of the all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 5, 2015 – Arachnophobes may not know this, but there is a team of Ford engineers who developed an innovative spider screen to keep the creepy crawlers from nesting in Ford vehicles. You're welcome. Cheiracanthium mildei and Cheiracanthium inclusum – more commonly referred to as yellow sac spiders – have been known to nest inside vehicles in North America, causing problems for car owners and automakers alike over the years. Instead of using webs to catch prey, these spiders build cocoon-like webs for shelter and to lay eggs.
