Well we just bought a new home and we need to sell one of my cars and this one has been chosen, not because I want to but its 100% percent OEM stock and deserves to be in a collection and not in my garage. Alittle history on this LX I bought this from the original owner, he was very protective of this car and never drove it at night, never let it get rained on, never detailed it, and never left it the sunlight for any amount of time unless it was being driven. This car is not some dealership's glossed up, armorall queen! It is being shown untouched and never messed with, The only things that have ever been touched are the fluids have been changed and the wheels have been swapped to preserve the Goodyear VR4 Gatorbacks It comes with a set of pony rims also so you wont have to move it on the VR4s, the previous owner also always kept it on a 2nd set of wheels and kept the gatorbacks stored inside his home, and I have done the same), the hub caps still have their factory date coded paper stickers on them that would have melted away the first time they saw water. This car comes with the original FORD battery although its dead we have a new one installed but you will have the oem one if you want to show it with the correct battery. This car is clean and has never been buffed or had any cleaners used on it, the motor still has the date coded 89 plug wires, the bay has never been cleaned since new. The car runs and drives like new, it comes with all build sheets, invoices and owners manual. This car was a special order with the Sport interior (GT hounds tooth seats and map pocket deletes) Sun roof and painted on pin stripe, its a 25th anniversy and the last year for tillt. The color is smoke gray and looks stellar in real life, the photos do this car no justice. It has the stock wiper blades also. The only problem there is one small ding on the roof and one on the drivers side quarter panel, (probally a garage mishapp years ago) a dent place could fix it but that takes away from its non covered up survivor state. It never had the front plate bracket installed from the factory and comes with all 3 sets of OEM keys and the original rear plate bolts that are correct for this car. Its really a car that I could never describe with words so I invite anyone at anytime to come see it, I will make time for you! Feel free to email me also and I can provide my phone number, the car is located in Gahanna Ohio 43230, if the car is paid for I can store it for up to 45 days no charge. Thanks for looking as as a long time fox mustang guy this is a true holly grail type find.

Ford files trademark for 'EcoBeast' moniker
Mon, Dec 29 2014Ford has done some performance stuff with its EcoBoost line of vehicles, most notably with its Focus and Fiesta ST, the new, turbocharged Mustang and the luke-warm Taurus SHO and F-150 Tremor, but it's kind of avoided going wholly bonkers. That could be set to change quite soon, judging by a trademark filing with Uncle Sam. Ford has registered the name EcoBeast with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, listing it as "automobiles and automobile engines," according to the team at Motorlix, which discovered the filing. As always, it bears mentioning that companies are constantly filing trademarks, even if a good or service never emerges with said name. We agree with Motorlix, though – it seems highly unlikely Ford is going to just let this name languish. What vehicle or engine will wear this new badge is the real question. We're leaning towards something F-150 related, based on our last round of spy photos of the new SVT Raptor, although it's impossible to say for certain what the Blue Oval has planned. Here's hoping we find out in just a few weeks when Ford brings basically all of its performance merchandise to the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Until then, let us know what you think Ford is planning with the EcoBeast.
1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
Bomb threat closes Ford Romeo Engine Plant [UPDATE]
Thu, Jul 30 2015UPDATE: Ford has released the following statement about what's happening at the factory: "The Ford Romeo Engine Plant was reopened at 12:47 PM after law enforcement investigated and cleared the site. The afternoon and evening shifts are expected to report at their usual start times. Further questions on the investigation by law enforcement can be directed to the Romeo Police Department." Due to a bomb threat, Ford has evacuated its Romeo Engine Plant, and law enforcement is on the scene. According to the Detroit News, police with bomb-sniffing dogs are searching the building, which covers over 2 million square feet. Ford spokesperson Mike Moran wouldn't disclose to Autoblog how the threat was received but said that it came in between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Eastern on July 30. "The day shift was sent home," he said. According to the Detroit News, the second shift was also asked not to come in. About 500 people work at the plant, Moran indicated. At this time, Moran said that there hadn't yet been an update from law enforcement whether anything had been found in their search. The Romeo Police Department confirms to Autoblog that it's handling the investigation. However, the authorities wouldn't comment further about what is happening at the plant at this time.
