This is a frame up restored original Mach 1 mustang purchased from the original owner before restoration. The mileage is showing 37,000 but is believed to be 137,000. The mileage since restoration is 2,800. The original drive train has been overhauled by a 30+ year experienced Ford Technician. All mechanicals have been redone including : Brakes, exhaust, engine, transmission, and  A/C. All gauges, switches, tachometer, lights, and  hinges work perfectly. This car was never dented and the gaps and body lines are perfect. No expense was spared when the original Gold Glow paint was put on the car. The paint work is flawless. The interior is likewise done to perfection and the Luxury Vinyl Ginger was totally redone to factory specification. The correct ford flat black paint was used on the hood unlike most mustangs I have seen redone through the years. The Q-code 351 Cleveland has minor internal upgrades and was built for pump gas. An edelbrock  aluminum intake was added along with tube headers. The original intake and exhaust manifolds are available if wanted.   The car has two small corrections that need to be made: 1) The a/c compressor is new and needs to be converted to r-134 and has a line leak.  The new line is included. 2) The o-ring in the transmission fill line has a drip.  I am listing this car for a friend and will give you his telephone number if you want to talk to him personally. Send me a message through ebay messaging if you want to contact the owner.   The car is titled in Virginia.

2015 Ford Mustang already under recall, but just 53 units

Sun, 19 Oct 2014

Ford has issued a small - but significant - recall for one of its spotlight cars: the 2015 Mustang.
The recall affects just 53 cars, with 50 in the United States and three in Canada. Ford said the passenger side safety belt buckle tension sensor may not have been calibrated properly by the supplier. This could lead to "misclassification" of the passenger seat occupant, and could cause the airbag to deploy improperly.
A Ford spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement, the automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries, and dealers will replace the buckle assembly at no cost to customers. The cars affected were built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan from Aug. 18 to Oct. 2.

Ford recalling 850,000 cars and SUVs for airbag issues

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

Ford has announced a major recall of 850,000 vehicles from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a problem with the "restraints control module."
According to Ford, a short circuit could develop in the module, causing the airbag warning light to illuminate. In more severe cases, dependent on where the short develops, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not work in the event of an accident. The problems can be more wide-ranging than that, too, as systems that rely on information from the control module, such as the stability control can be affected.
With 850,000 vehicles affected, it's no surprise that some of Ford's volume leaders are covered. That includes the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, as well as the incredibly recall-prone Escape and the C-Max MPV.

Ford recalls 300,000 Crown Vics over lighting module

Wed, Dec 23 2015

The Basics: Ford is recalling 312,814 units of the Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis sedans from the 2003-2005 model years. They were built at the St. Thomas Assembly Plant between Oct. 3, 2001, and Aug. 2, 2005. Ford says 296,004 of those units are located in the United States, with another 14,714 in Canada and 2,096 in Mexico. The Problem: The solder joints on the lighting control module could crack, depriving the headlamps of the power they need to light the way ahead. That could increase the risk of a crash, particularly at night and in other low-visibility situations. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports that it is aware of 11 accidents that resulted from the problem, leading to one injury described as "minor." The Fix: The manufacturer is instructing dealers to replace the entire lighting control module. If You Own One: Make sure your headlights are working before getting under way. If they're not, avoid driving under low-light conditions, including at night, in heavy precipitation, or in fog.
