Hello all, and thank you for viewing my auction. What I have is a 1967 Mustang Coupe I just spent 20k on building for my son for his 16th birthday, It was given to him in November and wrecked in March (4 months) he drove it less than 5 miles a day to and from school and it was apparently a bit too much and he hit a powerbox with it. It has been kept under a cover ever since

The Good:

The car started life as a 1967 V8 coupe I had it completely rebuilt and everything was gone through no expense was spared especially in regards to safety because my son was going to be drivng it, The entire process was completed at Mustang Ranch here in Fresno, California. New suspension, steering hydraulics and hard parts, We also had disc brakes installed. i had the interior completely redone with a new headliner dashpad carpet seats foams etc. no corners were cut anywhere. It also has a hidden aftermarket stereo. It also received a new fuel tank etc. We had a complete rebuild done on the original 289 with a mild cam and the C4 was gone through a Griffin radiator was installed and this car is also a factory AC car and that all works too. It starts and runs as it should there was no damage done to the drivetrain other than the rearend

Here is a video of it starting and running with a walk by of the damage: http://youtu.be/aW8B221eHyg

The Bad:

The damage to the Right side of the car (passenger side) is substantial it goes from the headlight to about halfway through the quarter panel the rear end was pushed back so that the tire is in the wheel-well and I believe the rear subframe was bent, I was told it was fixable but I would rather not put anymore money in it so that is up to someone else to decide

I have done my best to describe the car accurately and honestly for you that being said if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me (702) 824-5765 if you would like more pics or information about it This car is sold as is where is with no warranty or guarantee of condition expressed or implied. Vehicle is also for sale localy I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Xcar shows how to drive the Ford Model T

Wed, Jan 21 2015

A couple of weeks ago Xcar posted a teaser review of the Ford Model T, a look at what the British duo would have been doing if they'd been doing their thing for 100 years. Now we have their complete, 12-minute take on the what might be, as they say, "arguably the most important car of the 20th century." Thankfully, instead of just a review, Xcar spends about half the time giving us a tour of history, from Ford's early days working for the Edison Illuminating Company to his racing days and founding of several car companies that either died or became other car companies after he left, like Cadillac. They also line up the pieces and the sales realities that led to Ford implementing – not creating, mind you – assembly-line production of the Tin Lizzie. And then they get into how crazy it is to drive, like how a driver needs two of the three pedals, the handbrake lever and a steering column stalk to get into high gear. Enjoy the video above on a 100-year-old car that is "unbelievably comfortable," "mildly terrifying" and ready to do just about anything.
