Up for auction is a GREAT 1966 Mustang. This is not a show car but makes for a wonderful daily driver! It recently had a Candy Apple Red paint job that looks great (8/10) with new exterior emblems and some new exterior chrome (antenna, door handles, door locks, ect.) The vinyl top is in great condition and still has a good deep black color to it. This Mustang is sitting on a brand new pair of Triangle Tires and new Cragar 14 inch wheels that has less than ten miles on them. Glass is all around in good shape, back window does have some scratches. All windows roll up and down with no issues. Underneath the car is brand new exhaust and muffler system from the engine headers back, has that great Mustang sound to it! Floor plans have been replaced at some point. The engine was pulled and had work including new engine paint, new upper and lower engine hoses, new heater hoses, new transmission lines, and new engine valve seats installed.

On the inside there is a new headliner, new instrument panel, new trunk carpet, and new glove box Sony stereo system with three new speakers in the cabin for a great sound. On the dash all the chrome is new and the glove box door has been redone. Inside the glove box (glove box itself, lights, etc.) are all new. Seats, carpet, and door panels all are in great shape (8/10) and the heater box has recently been rebuilt.

How I said again, this is NOT a show car, but would make someone a wonderful classic car to have as a daily driver. This car is guaranteed to turn heads while going down the road! Feel free to message me with questions or if you would like to see pictures of something specific. If you would like to schedule an appointment to view the car please message me.

William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.

Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
