Thanks for looking, this is the one of the nicest 65' Ford Mustang on eBay! This gorgeous Silver Smoke Gray pony is originally from San Jose , CA and spent its life in the dry climate. The outrageous color combo on this mustang really sets it apart from the rest. The gorgeous red interior on this silver smoke gray mustang really gives it a killer eye appeal!!

This convertible pony comes highly optioned with things such as a powerful and rebuilt 289 V8 paired to a smooth C-4 automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power top, interior console, bucket seats, fully upgraded JL Audio sound system with 2 amplifiers, extra battery, 10" custom made sub-woofer, Ipod connection, custom am/fm/cd/ipod deck , factory rally wheels, California smog equipment & the list goes on and on.

The interior of this car is an easy 9 out of 10. The only exception to perfection is very minor fading on the top of the driver seat back. All seating surfaces are near perfect with no tears or un-stitched seams. The black canvas top on this car has recently been replaced and is in like-new condition.

This pony was repainted about 5 years ago and was a very, very nice paint job, but does have very minor chips here and there that have been touched up, none bigger than a fingernail. The factory exterior trim does have minor pitting in areas such as the grill corral and the outer boot trim, but it is very hard to notice unless you are looking for it. Pics available upon request.

Mechanically, this mustang is sound. All mechanical and electrical components are in fine working order and this car is ready to drive ANYWHERE you desire. The engine has been fully rebuilt (by previous owner) and runs like a dream with ZERO signs of overheating or leaking. All lights function as they should. Tires and brakes are in good driver condition. Fluids have all been replaced.

The metal work on this mustang is about as solid as it gets. Pictures tell the story, the underside appears to be original and in great condition. Frame rails, floor boards, and shock towers are all in good, solid original condition.

To sum it up, this is a fine example of American Muscle History. This pony is ready to show or go!! International bidders welcome. Inspections are welcome and encouraged, but , by appointment only. Call today with any questions.

Mustang driver proves wheels are overrated

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.

Would you pay $17 a month to give your older Ford connectivity?

Fri, Mar 30 2018

When it was first introduced in 2007, there was nothing like the original Ford Sync system, since it allowed car owners to connect and use a portable device better than anything that came before it. And because it was a brought-in/tethered and software-based system, Sync leveraged a device's connectivity and was easily updated. It took competitors awhile to catch up: Toyota Entune wasn't available until 2011, and Chevy MyLink didn't roll out until 2012. But now Ford is the one playing catchup since it stuck with the brought-in strategy while most other automakers were quicker to add connectivity via an embedded cellular modem. Ford initially installed 2G/3G modems in its small fleet of electric and plug-in electric vehicles starting in 2012 so that owners could keep tabs on charging. Embedded connectivity came to Lincoln in 2014, and Ford began adding onboard 4G LTE via Sync Connect to select cars starting with the Escape in 2015. To get more cars connected more quickly, last week the automaker rolled out its FordPass SmartLink solution that plugs into the OBD port of 2010 to 2017 model year vehicles. This lets owners retroactively get onboard Wi-Fi, set up a "geo-fence" to keep tabs on a car's location, receive vehicle health reports and allows remote engine starting and door locking/unlocking using a smartphone app, among other features. But to connect older Ford vehicles will cost owners $16.99 a month for two years, not including installation. Ford throws in 1 GB of data or a 30-day trial, whichever comes first, after which owners have to add the vehicle to their Verizon shared data plan, which supplies connectivity for SmartLink, or establish a new account. (Disclosure: Autoblog is owned by Verizon.) By comparison, GM's 4G LTE data plans start at $10 a month for 200 MB and goes up to $30 for 3 GB, and owners can also add a car to an AT&T shared-data plan. But OnStar doesn't have a separate monthly subscription for the embedded modem or an installation charge, and standard features via the RemoteLink Mobile App are free for the first five years of ownership. FCA's Uconnect Access service also uses an embedded modem to provide similar telematics features for $20 per month following a free one-year trial, while a la carte in-car Wi-Fi is offered for $10 per day, $20 per week or $35 per month.
