Rare 1964 1/2 Mustang for auction.

D-Code 289ci 4 bbl carburetor.
The car runs fantastic. It has a lot of power and with the power steering/brakes its really fun to drive this Mustang. The transmission shifts very good. Tires are new. Even the radio works. Mechanically the car is great. I would drive it from Florida to California without a doubt.
The body is very straight. There are some rust bubbles on the body. The paint is not good and the car needs to be repainted - or you can drive it as is. The undercarriage is pretty good. There is one rusty area in the floor boards on the drivers side - other than that I couldn't find rust on the floors/frame rails/underneath the doors/trunk pockets/rocker panels/cowls. Of course you will find some surface rust - but no cancer. Everything is fixable. This is not a rust bucket. You will see that this car was for a long time in California. Glass is all good. One trim around the windshield is missing. I have the drivers door mirror.
The interior is all original. The drivers seat needs to be refurbished. Dash is ok. Door panels are dirty - the handle on the driver door is broken and needs to be replaced. Windows are going up and down. The headliner is dirty but without any rips or holes. Carpet is old and dirty.
Overall this is a daily driver or a very good car for restoration.
I will try to answer all your questions very honestly. I can send you a lot of photos.
Also I will help with national or international shipping - I spreche deutsch.
I will accept paypal/bank wire transfer/cash/cashier's check. Payment must be received within 5 business days.
Please only bid if you are serious and if you have the funds available.
Good luck bidding.

2015 Ford Mustang will tell authorities how you crashed and if you were belted [w/video]
Sat, 28 Jun 2014When the 2015 Ford Mustang hits dealers, it will be with a new batch of features that will power up Sync's 911 Assist feature, and provide an even greater degree of information to first responders in the event of an accident.
911 Assist will already make a phone call, via a Bluetooth-connected phone, should you bin your car. The automatic message to first responders is a pre-recorded blurb from Ford. With the new enhancements, though, emergency personnel can learn about the maximum change in velocity and whether the crash involved a front, rear, side or a rollover impact. 911 Assist will also send information about how many seat belts were in use and if airbags deployed, allowing more accurate dispatch of resources.
"Sync will only broadcast relevant information to save time, and it constructs a very efficient message for the operator," said David Hatton, the global project leader with Ford Connected Services. "After the introductory message, the voice line opens automatically and occupants can speak directly with the operator via Sync's hands-free functionality."
Ford dissects the heart of the 2015 Mustang, its engine range
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Happy Mustang Day. Are you tired of hearing about the 2015 Ford Mustang yet? No? Good, here's a bunch of mechanical data on Ford's sixth-gen muscle car, along with cutaways of the GT's 5.0-liter V8 and the new 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder shown above. We also have a smattering of info on the Stang's updated transmissions and an exploded-parts-diagram view of its all-new independent rear suspension.
Ford is set to make waves offering the Mustang with a turbo for the firs time since the small-volume SVO of the 1980s. Displacing 2.3 liters, the engine's twin-scroll turbo should help the four-cylinder turn out a projected 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, while also returning the best fuel economy in the Mustang's engine lineup. As we said in our Deep Dive, the EcoBoost will be slotted in as a premium engine, above the 3.7-liter V6 but below the 5.0-liter V8.
Speaking of that high-revving eight-cylinder, it's receiving a new cylinder head with high-flow ports. The intake and exhaust valves are larger and the cams have been replaced, among other tweaks. It should rev even higher thanks to a rebalanced crankshaft and forged connecting rods. Ford is still claiming a projected 420 hp and 390 lb-ft, although as many of the changes for the 2015's V8 come from the 2013 Boss 302, we're going to assume there's some sandbagging at work.
Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least
Fri, 06 Dec 2013Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
