1925 Ford Model T Speedster on 2040-cars

1925 Ford Model T Speedster British Racing Green with black upholstery. Brass dash Warford Super 6 auxiliary transmission Hand pump fuel pump. Custom header. Modern distributor. New Kevlar bands last year. Watts Clutch Engine overhaul (about 3,000 miles ago) including the following: New poured mains, New Rods, Re-bored, High dome pistons, valve seats, new timing gears, Standard Cam, new cam bushings. Radiator rebuild with modern flat tubes. Magnets removed from flywheel and replaced with four metal brackets to ensure oil movement. Front and rear axel rebuild with new bearings and sleeves. Drive tube with new roller and thrust bearings. Transmission cover: reamed shaft holes, new shafts on clutch, brake and reverse pedals with O-rings to stop oil drips.
Paint buffed to a high shine but does show its age call it a 15 footer. Engine starts and runs well, bands are all adjusted as is the clutch. Exhaust is loud as fitting a custom header and 4 exhaust pipe with no muffler. Carb is still original T. If I was to keep this car I would upgrade to a Model A or the modern carb offered by Texas T. The purchaser will have to wait for the title as I just submitted it for registration with the state of Oregon, I should have it from them in 2-3 weeks according to the clerk on the desk at ODMV. I have documentation proving I submitted the title to dmv. Milage is unknown Please note that the upholstery on the drivers seal is torn where it snaps to the side of the seat. You could switch the seats and it would hardly be noticable. Look at last photo. |

Ford CEO told Trump 1 million jobs at stake because of fuel economy regs
Sat, Jan 28 2017Bloomberg is reporting that Mark Fields, Ford's CEO, pushed President Donald Trump for market-driven national fuel economy standards, and that up to a million jobs could be at stake if those national regulations didn't take consumer expectations into account. Fields was reporting on his conversation with Trump in remarks made at the National Automobile Dealers Association in New Orleans, Bloomberg reports. The report also states that he and fellow CEOs Mary Barra of GM and Sergio Marchionne of FCA aren't seeking to eliminate fuel economy standards altogether, but rather to make them more flexible. Bloomberg reports that Fields didn't cite the studies he was referring to in support of his job loss figures, so we can't independently verify Fields' math at this time. But his push to stop selling cars consumers don't want that is to say, more hybrids and EVs than consumer demand supports right now Β is clear. We've already reported on that. To level an educated guess at what will happen next, Trump seems likely to reduce the stringent 2025 fuel economy targets, perhaps freezing them at current levels. The automakers are already invested in producing vehicles that meet current standards, and they also have to think about foreign markets like Europe that aren't likely to relax standards below current levels. If you consider economies of scale, automakers are likely to ask for federal standards that match global standards for their largest markets as closely as possible. We'll see if Trump buys Fields' math, but Ford isn't hedging its bets. Backing out of the Mexican assembly plant cost the company $200 million Β not a huge sum compared to the total value of Ford, a massive company which had its second best year ever, but still an important gesture to Trump about Ford's priorities. This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
