Ford Model A Glassic Repro,, W/ 302 C.i. V-8 on 2040-cars
Baltimore, Maryland, United States
This is one of the most popular factory built cars that Glassic Cars of West Palm Beach, Fla. built in 1973. This car has just over 30,000 original miles, and a $10,000 restoration. Receipts are available for this work. It has an extra set of original wheels and wheel covers (one is missing), as well as set of mag wheels (shown in photo). It is powered by a 5.0 Ford V-8, which is original. It has a C-4 automatic transmission. The motor and transmission are in excellent condition. This car starts easy, is fun to drive, and guaranteed to turn heads. The body is fiberglass, so it will never rust......There is a recent tonneau cover, and there is NO top. Under the hood, the Ford Mustang 302 c.i. 8 cylinder engine runs strong. This is not a weak-at-the-knees 4 cyl. Shay repro. This car is a blast to drive! All of the wheels and tires, including the spare set of original tires & rims are in good condition and look great. This Ford Replica would make an excellent Sunday cruiser or an awesome addition to any collection. Recent items that have been added...........Power brakes, a tonneau cover, new fuel pump, rebuilt carb, all new fuel lines, new tires (6/14)....The exterior paint color is CREAM & GRAY. The only negative item, is that there is a minor scratch on the drivers side rear fender, some rust starting to show on the chrome. I will gladly help to load it on a Transporter. Thanks for taking the time to look. PAYMENT TERMS: a $1,000.00, NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT BY BANK WIRE TRANSFER IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HRS. AFTER CLOSE OF THE AUCTION........THE BALANCE, via BANK WIRE TRANSFER or CASH IS DUE WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF THE ABOVE DEPOSIT. IF ANY DOUBT, THEN PLEASE DO NOT BID |

Hertz goes Dutch with Ford Focus ST-H
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Want to take a performance car for a ride? Hertz can make that happen. Spin by your local rental location (depending, of course, on availability) and you can take out a Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, even a Corvette as part of the Adrenaline Collection. Hertz's Dream Cars lineup even includes Porsches and AMGs. But the really interesting stuff is what you can't get anywhere else: cars built specifically for Hertz.
Back in 1966, Hertz had Ford cook up a special run of Mustang GT350H models in back with gold stripes. It became an icon in and of itself, and in 2008 Hertz had a new batch of Shelby GT-Hs made. Earlier this year, Hertz contracted Penske to deliver another fleet of specially-built Mustangs you can rent. But if your travel plans include a trip to the Netherlands, Hertz has a completely different type of specially-prepared Ford on offer for you.
Back in August, Ford delivered a couple of Focus STs made specifically for Hertz in Holland. Now it's expanded that fleet even further. The Ford Focus ST-H features the same 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four (and everything else) as the standard Focus ST, but gets that signature black exterior with gold stripes and a black leather interior with Recaro buckets. So in case a trip to Amsterdam doesn't hold enough thrills, now you can throw a hot hatch into the mix as well. Scope out the press release (in Dutch - isn't that weird?) below.
Watch live as Mark Fields is officially named Ford's next CEO
Thu, 01 May 2014We've heard rumblings of a changing of the guard at Ford, and this live stream from The Blue Oval itself is set to confirm the rumors: Alan Mulally will be succeeded by the automaker's current Chief Operating Officer, Mark Fields.
Mulally, who is 68 years old, has served at the head of Ford for eight years, and his official retirement date will be July 1st, 2014. Fields, who is 53 this year, has been with Ford for 25 years and has been groomed to take the helm from Mulally for the last several of those years.
There's an official press release that you can read, but if you're more of a visual person, you're welcome to watch the live video feed of the announcement down below.
Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.
