You are bidding on a red 1931 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup! Beautiful condition with16 inch ford V8 wheels, a very nice older restoration. Runs and drives well. Minor chips and scratches. Good upholstery, tires are fairly new with dual side mounts. I have a clear title from previous owner, but will also sell with a bill of sale. Unclear on the mileage...previous title has 56,000 miles, but the Odometer says 240. Feel free to contact with questions. Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught
Fri, 18 Apr 2014In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.
Toyota hangs on to title of world's largest automaker for first half of 2013
Fri, 26 Jul 2013General Motors and Ford can have all the success they please, but it doesn't seem like America's two largest manufacturers are going to topple Toyota in the first half of 2013. According to Reuters, Toyota moved 4.91 million vehicles in the first six months of 2013, representing a 1.1-percent drop from the same period in 2012.
GM is on the rise, though, with a four-percent increase in global sales, to 4.85 million. Volkswagen, still sitting in third, saw a 5.5-percent jump to 4.7 million vehicles in the first half of 2013.
If this pace continues for Toyota, it'll finish 2013 in the top sales spot for the second year in a row. The manufacturer fell to third, behind GM and VW, in 2011 after earthquakes and tsunamis ravaged its production capacity.
