This is a 1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe. It's traditional style is what you'd expect to see in the 40's or 50's built by returning servicemen after the war with lots of imagination, skill, creativity and a need for speed, it's been upgraded with a strong 1969 Chevy 327 with a lumpy cam, TH350 automatic trans with a Lokar shifter, and a rear axle from a '57 Chevy. Chevy drivetrain in a Ford....the best of both worlds! It also has Weld Engineering finned front drum brakes, a rare and wicked cool Edelbrock X-1 6-pack intake manifold with six Ford script carbs, Cal Custom finned valve covers, '40 Ford steel wheels, split front bones,  a Walker radiator, a fully boxed Model A frame, buggy rear spring, Pete & Jakes ladder bars, lakes style headers, '36 Ford dash, custom aluminum interior panels, a chopped custom made aluminum riveted (not pop-rivets, these are aircraft grade aluminum rivets), custom aluminum rear fenders, and on and on and on. Headlights are from a 30's Cadillac and have been upgraded with halogen bulbs.  I guarantee that you'll NEVER see another one like it. It's always the hit of the show wherever I drive this beauty. It's finished in a teal gray 2-stage urethane paint. Make no mistake, this is a real bare knuckle HOT ROD, not a creature-comfort-laden street rod or Cadillac. It runs and drives like a hot rod should: fast and furious and all business! It has it's share of chips and rash from "normal" driving, but it looks great and gets thumbs up galore. Don't expect a Ridler award winning hot rod for what I'm asking. Glass is all good, front windshield is nice and clear, swings out like the originals did (I guess that was Henry's concept of "air conditioning", lol. Door glass is great too, windows crank up and down but a little stiff. Might need some adjustment, but I only drive this car in beautiful weather so I leave them rolled down. All in all it's a great hot rod that gathers attention everywhere it rolls. It starts easily, runs great, stops and steers great, tires have plty of life left, and it sounds great too. Uncork the lakes headers and you'll wake the dead! I keep em corked and it's much quieter, or so the neighbors say. 

The car is legally in my name, no liens. NYS does not issue titles to these old cars, they issue "transferable registrations", that's what I have and will sign over to the new owner. All legit and on the up and up. I'm a no nonsense eBayer, check my feedback to reassure yourself. Payment in full and cleared by my bank before this leaves my possession. Ram 1500 bests new F-150 in MT pickup shootout

Ford's 2015 Ford F-150 is a technological tour-de-force, what with its aluminum-intensive construction and its powerful and efficient new 2.7-liter EcoBoost engine option. But now that it's hit the market, it's time to get down to brass tacks and find out how just the latest F-150 actually stands up to its rivals in the hyper-competitive fullsize segment. Motor Trend is among the first to round up the Ford (in Lariat 2.7-liter 4X4 guise here) and put it up against the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman EcoDiesel 4x4 and 5.3-liter-equipped Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 to find out how Dearborn's new-think truck measures up. The test put the trio through over 1,000 miles of tough driving in California and Arizona in a variety of conditions from just cruising around unladen to hauling a trailer. MT found all three trucks to be competent, but the most praise got heaped on the Ram and the Ford, with the Chevrolet falling a step behind its competitors in many tests. Among the Ford's most-liked features was its 2.7-liter, twin-turbo V6 that helped make the F-150 easily the quickest of the group, with some editors saying the engine felt about the same whether driving around with cargo in the bed or not. There was some minor turbo lag during acceleration while trailering, but that issue affected the Ram, too. The Ram's powertrain was lauded, as well. The EcoDiesel was torquey around town, and the 1500's combination of an eight-speed automatic and air suspension was judged to be the best of the lot. It was the most difficult to get into the bed, though. The Ram also won the fuel economy award by netting 20-miles-per-gallon city and 28-mpg highway in the test to beat its Environmental Protection Agency ratings of 19/27. The Ford's EcoBoost managed 17/22, one mpg off each from the EPA numbers, and using a lot of throttle really depleted its efficiency. As MT notes, however, it would take time for the diesel's mileage savings to pay off at the pump for these two trucks. In the end, the Ram just barely eked out the win, with the title partially earned because of "the Ford's unknown maintenance and aluminum repair costs," according to MT. Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected

Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."

Monday was Groundhog Day. Tuesday, apparently, was Sports Car Day. The Ferrari 488 GTB, the Ford Focus RS and the Porsche Cayman GT4 all debuted within hours of each other ahead of their rollouts at the Geneva Motor Show. Three sporty machines, three vastly different approaches – and a lot of implications for enthusiasts. That's a day worth repeating. It also illustrates the opportunities automakers see in the performance market, which is expected to grow in the coming years. Ford estimates the segment has expanded 14 percent in Europe and surged 70 percent in North America since 2009. The Detroit Auto Show was evidence of this, and performance cars of every stripe debuted, including the Acura NSX, Ford GT, Alfa Romeo 4C Spider and several others. This isn't a fad. Performance cars aren't going away. The question is why? Stricter CAFE standards are looming in the United States, as are tighter emissions regulations in Europe. And no one expects gas prices to remain low in America. None of this matters for sports cars, and automakers are increasingly using them to elevate their images. That's why Dodge rolled out two 707-horsepower Hellcats last year. It's why Ford has decided to resurrect the GT for road and track. It's why in the depths of bankruptcy, General Motors continued work on the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, not to mention the Z06. "Great brands are made one car at a time," Ford of Europe president Jim Farley said at the reveal of the Focus RS. Still, companies make those cars for different reasons. View 5 Photos Mainstream brands like Ford and Dodge want to build cars that get people talking, excite their bases and drive more potential customers into the showroom. They probably don't buy a Focus RS or a Hellcat, but suddenly the regular Focus hatch looks a bit hotter, and that V6 Charger seems to be just a touch more muscular. The halo of performance is alive and well in the eyes of automakers and their customers. "It's one of the most effective catalysts for ingenuity and innovation," said Joe Bakaj, vice president of product development for Ford of Europe. That also leads to a trickle-down effect. Some of the technologies inevitably make their way to other products. It's hard to think the new all-wheel-drive system in the Focus RS that distributes torque front to rear and side to side won't be used in other vehicles. It's different for Ferrari and Porsche.
