1929 Ford Roadster, Real Historic California Traditional Hot Rod, No Reserve!! on 2040-cars
Napa, California, United States
This is a 1929 ford on an original 32 frame. has original dropped 32 I beam front axle, rear cross member is tubular since it now has coil overs in the rear. Has original 32 grille shell, newly fabricated aluminum 3 piece hood and deck lid. The body is bare metal and you can see all the hot rod body mods and lead filler from the 50's. Interior- reproduction WWII aircraft seats, 40 Ford dash shortened and installed in the 50's. Engine-350/350 with single 4brl edelbrock carb. History- I have been told that this car was built in So-Cal and raced on the dry lakes. I was told that It was green with an American flag hood when it raced. As I removed the paint, I found Yellow, Green and White paint. There are several tells the car was a race car and or hot rod back in the day, such as the driver door is arc welded shut, the 40 dash is arc welded in, the passenger door hinges are streamlined, and there is a lot of lead filler on the body. also there are 2 small patch panels behind the seats where there used to be a roll bar, and I was told by several old timers that what appears to be an old aviation style gas cap on the pass side rear 1/4, is most likely a filler cap for a water ballast for high speed runs I.E Dry lakes / Bonneville. The car currently has a Steve Sellers Hallock windshield and ill sell it with track tires in the front, or standard biasply tires. This car is Fast Loud and a Ton of Fun. Get it in time for summer. |

Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn
Sun, 30 Mar 2014Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.
Ford bringing 10 custom Transit Connects to SEMA
Tue, 29 Oct 2013With 57 vehicles planned for its SEMA display, it comes as little surprise that Ford has plenty of teasers for its show cars. After showing us what it has in store for the Mustang, Fiesta and Focus ST, now we're getting a look at some of the custom creations based on the redesigned 2014 Transit Connect van.
These nine Transit Connects are decked out to various degrees of customization, but our favorite might be the chopped and lowered Transit Connect from Mob Steel (shown above), which has a similar slammed stance that we see on some custom VW Buses. On the opposite extreme, LGE & CTS Motorsports has jacked up a Transit Connect to make a Cross Country cruiser that we wouldn't mind taking on a road trip.
There are seven other teasers from various companies, and you can check them all out in the gallery above or in the press release below. Ford is also promising a tenth Transit Connect for SEMA, so stay tuned for that as well.
