1929 Ford Model A Tudor *** NO RESERVE***
On Apr-19-14 at 07:14:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Check out YOUTUBE for videos I made in haste for a previous sell opportunity last summer. Keyword search 'Bonnie Black Beauty' Car is in identical shape driven about a dozen time arond my subdivision and to the local gas station. A recent inquiry directed to my personal email...
In the video, it sounded like it may be running a little rough going down the hill. That
is engine brake. It is not rough at all.
Is there a miss or any problems with the engine or transmission? None
Does the engine smoke or use oil? No
Has the engine, transmission, or rear end been rebuilt? I
believe the trans was rebuilt by Dsuban. He built it. I could have you
contact him.
Does it have any oil, water, transmission, fuel, or rearend leaks? Minor
Oil leak. But I know it is typical. It may need a head gasket in the future,
but it is fine right now.
Has the radiator been re-cored or replaced? New Radiator, but the 29 radiator has performance issues. What are the condition of the brakes? New,
but need adjustment.
Is the steering tight? It
is fine for me. Not sure what is normal for this car.
What is the condition of the tires and wheels? Excellent
What is the condition of the body? Almost
perfectly free of rust, but the running boards need a undercoating.
Does it have any rust, paint chips, paint runs, bondo, ripples, or dents etc.? Very
few. I touched up small chips but really nice.
Is the paint still shiny and fresh? (It was hard to tell much about it in the video) I
can make it really shine, but I have zero time to work much on it. I bought some 'Black Magic' polish to protect the current shine, but have yet to apply it.
What is the condition of the vinyl top? I
repaired some of it, it is in good condition.
What is the condition of the chrome/nickel parts? Everything looks good to me.
Has
the original glass been replaced with safety glass?
Is the glass in good condition? Very good condition. No cracks I can see.
Do all of the windows roll up and down as they should? Yep. Roll perfect.
Does
the speedometer, fuel indicator, amp gauge, and wiper motor work as they
should?
Has the wiring and electrical components been replaced? Modern wiring. Not much wiring going on here though.
Is it still 6 volt or has it been converted to 12 volt? Still 6 volt.
Do all of the lights work properly? Yes.
Is it missing any body or interior parts? Interior drivers-side back seat window trim is missing. I would include this missing piece given the car sells above 11k.
Distributor Modern? Looks like original, but I believe the inner workings upgraded to more reliable components. Works
like a charm! I replaced the coil wire that runs to the distributor plate, and points and condenser replaced. None.
When
I take it out – people swoon over it. I love to share it. Kids
love the Ahooga sound of the horn. Harley motorcyclist , they love the purity and
simplicity of it - they can relate to it as a common man's car that
would have been most popular and common during the depression. Most all appreciate the fact I did not modify or enhance the look away from what most people bought or could afford in the depression. Memories of this car ring loud for the basic clean look.

Ford rakes in record $2.5b profit during Q1 of 2016
Thu, Apr 28 2016Fears that the auto industry is due for a downturn may be fading. Ford posted record profits in the first quarter of 2016, the company announced Thursday. Chief financial officer Bob Shanks said Ford enjoyed its best quarterly performance in history, generating operating profits of $3.8 billion and a record profit margin of 9.8 percent. Overall, the company's $2.5 billion profit in the quarter more than doubled from the 2015 quarterly results. "The first quarter was an absolutely terrific start to the year, an all-time record for the company, with very strong performance across the business," said chief executive officer Mark Fields. "We're excited about our future and confident in our ability to deliver long-term growth and profitability as we expand our business model to be both an auto and a mobility company." During the quarter, Ford announced the creation of Ford Smart Mobility, a new subsidiary that would vet future mobility projects in the realm of car-sharing, fractional ownership and autonomous deployment. The company also kicked off a billion-dollar makeover of its Dearborn, Michigan campus and headquarters. The company's after-tax earnings of $0.68 per share trumped Wall Street's expectations, and were significantly up from $0.39 per share a year ago. The results were buoyed by the company's fourth consecutive quarter of growth in Europe, which comes after a long period of stagnant sales. Ford's earnings results come amid reports that April car sales are on pace to jump 4 percent year over year, which would make it the best-selling April in history. Kelley Blue Book projects that car sales will reach 1.51 million this month, placing the industry on track for 17.5 million vehicles sold in 2016. Even as SUV and crossover sales drive the market, analysts say Nissan and Honda are positioned to benefit from renewed interest in mid-size cars. "Following a disappointing March, we expect sales to get back on track in April with SAAR in the mid-17 million range," said Tim Fleming, analyst for Kelley Blue Book. "Increased fleet sales and rising incentive spending among automakers remain the factors to watch, but the retail demand appears to be holding steady, signaling the industry's strong run isn't over quite yet." Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST
Thu, 23 Jan 2014The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

12 best hybrid SUVs for 2022
Tue, Jun 15 2021If you're searching for the best hybrid SUV, the truth is there actually aren't that many choices. While there's an endless sea of those powered solely by gasoline, those that add batteries and superior fuel economy to the mix are few and far between. The very good news, however, is that the choices you have are actually excellent. The top-selling and top-rated Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 are not only available as hybrids, for instance, but are actually at their most appealing as hybrids. Luxury hybrid SUVs are a different story. While Lexus offers each of its crossover SUVs as a conventional hybrid, those of other brands are by and large plug-in hybrids that provide a relatively brief amount of all-electric propulsion, superior fuel economy and higher prices that are somewhat countered by EV tax rebates. We include both conventional hybrids and plug-in hybrids in the below list of best hybrid SUVs. All are listed alphabetically within each category. Best small hybrid SUVs  |  Best midsize hybrid SUVs Best luxury hybrid SUVs  |  Best luxury plug-in hybrid SUVs Best small hybrid SUVs Honda CR-V Hybrid Why it stands out: Best-in-class back seat space; hybrid's distinctive EV-like power delivery; middle lower LATCH anchorCould be better: Antiquated and glitchy tech interface; a bit dull Hybrid fuel economy: 38 mpg combined (AWD only) Read our 2022 Honda CR-V Review Consider the CR-V the baseline for any compact SUV search. Objectively speaking, it's tough to beat due to its massive cargo capacity, voluminous back seat, well-balanced driving dynamics, competitive pricing and features, strong safety ratings and well-regarded reliability. In terms of its hybridness, we like that Honda's distinctive hybrid system sees most of its propulsion handled by the electric motor (the engine rarely powers the wheels directly), resulting in a more EV-like, torque-rich power delivery and a less obtrusive gas engine. For the vast majority of compact SUV buyers, and especially families, the CR-V Hybrid checks every box.  Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Why it stands out: Beautiful interior; excellent infotainment and safety technology; traditional automatic transmissionCould be better: No spare tire; styling a tad outrageous Hybrid fuel economy: 37-38 mpg combined (AWD only) Plug-in hybrid electric range: 33 miles Plug-in hybrid fuel economy: 80 MPGe Read our 2022 Hyundai Tucson Review The Tucson is the new kid in town and it's made quite an entrance.
