Up for sale is a California Original Survivor, Matching Numbers 1966 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan Wagon with around 300+HP and over 400 ft-lb of Torque from the factory. It originally came with 405 ft-lb of Torque and 275HP from the factory without its Optional Performance S-Code Manifold option that it has, in addition it has been upgraded to True Dual Exhaust, an Spectre (outflows K&N) 14 Inch Open Air Intake System, Accel High Performance Super Stock 8mm High Temperature, Radio Suppression Wiring, and so on. Moreover, most cars of the 1960’s Horsepower & Torque were underrated from the factory for sales/insurance purposes. The “Country Sedan” is a Galaxie that is a Wagon, also known as just the Galaxie Wagon. In fact if you look carefully you can see various Galaxie emblems/symbols on some of these. When purchasing parts, the parts may be listed under Galaxie.

While it is a surviving matching numbers car it does have some modern updates to enhance your driving experiences and features/looks that some restomods would have. Runs, drives, and cruises well. Was driven mostly highway 60 mile trip when vehicle was purchased and achieved over 17mpg before some of the performance upgrades and tune, so if you’re easy on the gas you should be able to achieve more. Traffic & road type/conditions varied (some LA stop & go & mountain passes included), light on the accelerator. It’s a pleasure to cruise and it gets up and goes. With the 6.4L 390 and over 400 ft-lb of Torque from the factory, it has plenty of Muscle it easily/quickly passes other cars up on the street and interstates. It’s a great all around vehicle: for the beach / surf wagon, mountains, desert, the river, lakes, camping, fishing, hunting, & work & play. Plenty of room and power to haul people, tools, and equipment. You’ll get plenty of compliments around town, and at car meets / cruise nights. Would not hesitate to drive it a long distance.

Original OEM & Ford Factory Performance & Aftermarket Performance Parts that will work on this model listed separately. Will consider a package deal.

If you're interested put in some offers soon because there is lots of local interest in this vehicle and the more its driven the more its appreciated and in turn may no longer be available.

If possible might consider a straight or partial trade (your trade and your cash offer): another vehicle-fixer ok, real estate-fixer upper ok/ land, patented mining claims, minerals – precious metals -gems, motorcycle, firearms, or? But please no garbage, sporting goods, or electronics.

If another $1000-$2000 is spent on this Vehicles Interior/Paint it will sell for $20,000.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.

2020 Ford Explorer ST vs 2019 Dodge Durango SRT: How they compare on paper

Mon, Jan 14 2019

For a few years now, the Dodge Durango SRT has been the sole three-row performance crossover from a non-luxury brand. That all changes now that the 2020 Ford Explorer ST is coming to market. Now we have two family crossovers with rear-drive-based platforms vying for buyers that demand practicality and power. As such, there's no better time to dig into their specs to see how they compare. We'll check out each crossover's horsepower, torque, space, capability and prices. The full specs are listed below, followed by some analysis afterward. We also compared the regular 2020 Explorer models to other crossovers in this segment, if if that's not enough, you can check out our car comparison tool. Performance The Explorer and Durango go about making power in very different ways. The Explorer goes the force-fed route with two turbos feeding a 3.0-liter V6, while the Durango's enormous 6.4-liter V8 produces power with air flow au natural. Of the two, the Durango has the greater output of 475 ponies and 470 pound-feet of torque, feeding the flames of everyone that lives by the phrase "There's no replacement for displacement." The Explorer is no slouch at 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, though. Performance isn't purely based on power, though. Other factors play a role, such as weight, and in that regard, the Explorer is way ahead. At 4,701 pounds, it weighs a massive 809 pounds less than the portly Durango. This also means that both crossovers are very close in weight-to-power ratio, with the Explorer only slightly worse at 11.75 pounds per horsepower and the Durango at 11.6. Less weight will also play a roll in handling, and the Explorer is likely to feel sprightlier without so much mass to shift back and forth. Semi-related to handling are tire sizes. The Durango features 295-mm wide tires on 20-inch wheels. The Explorer has 255-mm wide tires on 20-inch wheels, but 21-inch wheels with 275-mm tires are available. So the Durango is working with more contact patch, but as we mentioned, it's carrying a lot more weight. 2020 Ford Explorer ST View 20 Photos Interior Space and Practicality Although the Durango SRT is the largest on the outside in every dimension, it loses out to Explorer repeatedly inside. The Ford has more headroom, leg room and shoulder room in nearly every row except the third-row where headroom comes up a bit short.

Watch Ford build a Mustang atop Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building

Sun, Nov 23 2014

In 1965, a Ford Mustang Convertible proudly went on display at the top of the Empire State Building, the world's tallest building at the time. Earlier this year, the Blue Oval recreated the stunt by bringing the latest droptop 'Stang to the sky-high structure. Unfortunately, while still iconic, the New York skyscraper has lost the world title. Of course, an automaker can't let something like that get in the way of a good publicity stunt. For the inauguration of the Ford business unit in the Middle East and Africa, the brand gave the 2015 Mustang Convertible an even bigger building to climb – the biggest in fact. The droptop made its way to the 112th floor of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. To put a final topper on the whole event, executive chairman Bill Ford was the one to place the car's famous badge, making it complete. Like with the Empire State Building spectacle, getting the Mustang to the top wasn't as simple as just driving it off the elevator. Check out the video above to see how it was done, and scroll down to read Ford's press release about the event. NEW MUSTANG UNVEILED ON WORLD'S TALLEST BUILDING, BURJ KHALIFA Bill Ford helps inaugurate Ford's latest business unit, Middle East and Africa, an exciting, vibrant region that represents the final frontier for growth in the auto industry Ford pledged to launch 25 vehicles in region by 2016, including the all-new Mustang debuting next year Industry sales in Middle East & Africa are expected to grow 40 per cent to 5.5 million vehicles by 2020 Dubai, U.A.E., Nov. 20, 2014 – Ford Motor Company underscored its growing ambitions in the Middle East and Africa, with the dramatic introduction of the all-new Mustang on Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford capped the live-action event by delivering the iconic pony badge to the 2015 yellow Mustang on the 112th floor of the skyscraper. The event was viewed live around the world on YouTube as well as by approximately 10,000 fans gathered in the Dubai Downtown area, overlooking the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. (To see a replay, click on this link.) "Today we planted the Ford flag in the Middle East & Africa, an exciting, vibrant region that represents the final frontier for growth in the auto industry," Bill Ford said.
