You have the opportunity to bid on, and win a 1967 Ford Galaxie 500 2dr. Sport Hardtop this car has been painted,in the oringinal colonial cream white which has a Diamond Like shine , the body is 100% rust free and has no squeaks or rattles of any kind , the body does have some minor imperfections as in the pictures, but you will get compliments where ever you go. The ebony black interior is all oringinal and shows no signs of wear, and is in "showroom condition" the oringinal factory carpet shows a few imperfectins , but I would rate it a 8 out of 10, the non tinted glass has no imperfectons and all the windows work like they should The car is powered by a oringinal 390 V8 2 barrel carb engine that can be run on regular grade gas . The engine runs silkey smmoth at idle , and has that 60's muscle power when ever you desire. The C6 automatic shifts positive and smooth thru all the gears, it has drum brakes for safe sure stops, it has the 9 inch non-posi rear end with heavy -duty suspension, and handles all types of roads with ease, it has the optional 7 liter 15 inch wheel package. Recent mechcanical up grades 1.) new gas tank lines , fuel pump, filter and carb. 2.) oil change and full lube with filter , new hoses and coolant flush, new battery cables . 3.) new front tires, and the rear are almost new. it does need a transmission gasket, it leaks when it sits for some time and needs to have the linkage for the transmission adjusted for the kickdown, these can be done at @ a future date if you so desire. I placed the car well below current maket value for a quick sale, if you have any ??? call 330-687-8032 Ohio , here is your chance to win a extra nice car, I hope the winning bid is yours! Ford is recalling more Takata airbag-equipped Ford and Lincoln models
Thu, Mar 2 2017The Basics: Takata, the beleaguered airbag supplier at the root of the largest recall in automotive history, has informed Ford of a problem with the airbags in just over 30,000 Ford and Lincoln models. The problem is not related to the non-desiccated ammonium nitrate airbag inflators that plague the other airbags ( including many Fords), meaning there isn't a risk of shrapnel flying out from the units in this particular recall. The Problem: In the event of an accident, the front airbags may only partially inflate, and the airbag may become detached from the module because of misaligned parts. The problem affects 2016 and 2017 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX models built at the Oakville Assembly Plant. The issue also affects 2017 Lincoln Continentals that were built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Injuries/Deaths: In a release, Ford stated that it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to the airbag issue. The Fix: Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag module at no cost. If You Own One: Sit tight and wait for Ford to notify owners. When that happens, take your car to the dealer for a replacement. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. 2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.
