1966 Ford Galaxie FIRE CHIEF car. Was told this came from Carmel or Anderson Indiana. Appears to be original 54,000 mile car. All the original equipment is present. The roof light works great. The passenger side fender siren and red light work. The "Wig-Wag" light on the drivers fender works. The flashing red lights in the grill work. They are behind the grill. Original Motorola radio and electric siren/wale/yelp and still in car but can not get to work. Car runs and drives great. 390 AT. New tires and brakes. Very good condition for the age of the car. There was rust repair in both rear quarters. Rest of car appears solid and very good condition. Drive it anywhere. This is not a perfect car but just a fun cruiser. You see Mayberry Police cars all the time but not fire chief cars. Really gets a lot of attention. Good for advertising too as people will pull in just to check it out. Tax right off? LOL. Wrap up some fun with Ford's commercial vehicle configurator
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Ford has combined multiple steps into one with its commercial vehicle configurator, which allows users to choose, design and place orders for the Transit, Transit Connect, E-Series vans and F-Series Super Duty trucks.
The most interesting part of the new configurator is a fairly robust design tool. Users are able to choose paint color and wrap the vehicle, and then create their own graphics. No materials are needed - Ford provides numerous background textures, text boxes, plenty of shapes and 20 categories of images including floral, construction, plumbing and skylines. Self-created designs or images can be uploaded to the system as well.

That Mulally was seriously being considered says a great deal about Microsoft and Mulally.
It appears that the chatter about Ford CEO Alan Mulally possibly leaving early to take over as CEO of Microsoft is losing air pretty fast. What's pretty interesting is that it got any traction in the first place.

Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
