This car has a newer 4speed automatic transmission. The original trans was replaced for better gas mileage. There is a Mr.Gasket floor shifter now. The engine is a 289 with an Edlebrock Performer 4 barrel intake and a 650 Holley 4barrel carb.

These pictures actually show the surface rust a lot worse I think, but it does give a good indication that its going to need attention. Attention I can't give it since my recent back injury. If it were not for my back, I wouldn't consider selling this car. The odometer is showing 80,500 miles, and I do believe that to be actual miles. This is a nice survivor that fires right up and drives nice. It will need exhaust work as I can hear a leak. It has headers, so its probably a gasket. Its not a leak at the head though.

ALL glass, chrome, hubcaps are all there and in very good condition. headliner and dash could use some attention. The car actually drives.nice.and since recent tuneup, it has been very reliable.

The car does have some rust, but not real bad for the age of the vehicle. Worst being the trunk pan, but I have seen worse. The body panels is mostly surface rust/thin paint. Running, driving vehicle. New timing chain/gears, coil, starter solenoid, battery, fuel pump, plugs, wires, cap, points. Any specific pics you want, just let me know and I will try my best to get them to you.

You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.

William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.
