1962 Pro Street Ford Galaxie-lightweight Super Stock/ Fx/gasser With 460 C.u. on 2040-cars
Lemont, Illinois, United States
Hi Folks, Selling my 1962 Ford Galaxie Street Rod. Car was sold new 3-21-1962 in Reno Nevada. Came here to the Midwest in the late 1980's. Had a frame up restoration done back in the 1990's which included: Alston Chassis ladder bar rear suspension with 9 inch Ford, 4:11 positraction. Custom 6 point roll bar for easy entry, modified back seat, mild built 460 big block, ported cylinder heads, Edelbrock intake, cam and carb, headers with 3" full exhaust system, C-6 transmission with shift kit, rebuilt front suspension and factory drum brakes. Also has factory power steering. Interior has Auto Meter gauges, B&M shifter and a CD player in glove box. 15X12 Cragar SS out back with Nitto P325/50R15 radial tires, and 15X7 Cragar SS in front. There is room for a 15" wide wheel in the rear wheel wells. Replacement fiberglass Tear Drop hood was also added, plus the original hood is included. Body is very straight and solid and the paint still looks nice for it's age. I have the original owners manual with the first owners name. Car looks awesome and sounds great. Priced to sell in order to move onto other projects. Vehicle is located near Chicago. Call or text with any questions. Thanks. Art 630 661 1161 No text spammers or third party sales.

Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
Camouflaged Shelby GT350 seen on the street
Fri, Mar 27 2015The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang made a grand debut at the 2014 LA Auto Show, and its more extreme GT350R sibling bowed at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. With the order guides already leaked and the R lapping the Nurburgring in a claimed 7:32.19, many of the big questions about the high-performance pony cars have already been answered. However, when they aren't showing up at events, Ford apparently still sees reason to keep the models fully camouflaged on the street. Case in point: this recent video showing off one in testing. With the design already fully unveiled, there's not much left to spy under all of the concealment. This short clip does provide a real-world opportunity to hear the song of the 5.2-liter V8 with its flat-plane crank, though. As a development car nothing here is final, but based on this video, Ford is definitely making sure the Shelby's engine sounds great. Related Video:
You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford
Tue, 07 Jan 2014
The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.
