Please read my Feedback.  I have been selling vehicles on Ebay since 2005 and have a Perfect Record with my customers. I know buying a car sight unseen can be intimidating, so if you have ANY questions about the process, please do not hesitate to call me at 708.927.9990, ask for Tim. After hours and weekend calls are fine.

Color : White

Body : The body on this work van is not too bad. The hood does have some chips that have been touched up, it looks ok for a work truck. The other area to mention is the lift gate, there is a dent in lower right corner and the right tail lamp is cracked, see pics. The rest is very straight.

Interior : Cloth Interior. The interior is rough, especially in the cargo area. This truck was used by a mobile interior repair company. They had a small compressor and paint stored in the back. That explains the poor condition of the cargo area. I guess if you are using it to haul cargo, it really does not matter. One good thing about the previous application was that they did not haul a lot of weight.

Mechanical : It seems to run out fine and the trans shifts as it should. The A/C blows cold. The van has cruise control, but it does not seem to be working. No detailed inspection was performed on this unit. It may need some routine maintenance in the near future. My goal was to offer this van CHEAP the way it sits, in a NO RESERVE AUCTION.

Tires : Not bald, not perfect either, see pics.

Glass : No cracks.

Misc : 2 Keys, 2 Key FOBS, FOBS may need batteries, they do not seem to be working properly.

Miles : I personally drive all my cars, to ensure every thing is fine. This vehicle may have more miles on it at the time of delivery. Once the vehicle is sold, I will stop driving it. If you need an exact mileage at the time of your bid, feel free to give me a call at 708.927.9990 ( Tim )

Title : This is a CLEAN title car, meaning it is NOT salvage, rebuilt, flood, etc. I only sell clean title vehicles.

Warranty : NONE.

Trade Ins : Not a problem. Please email me you best description, including VIN number and I will get back to you with a number.

Shipping : I prefer if you make your own arrangements. I will work with whatever shipping company you choose.

TERMS : This is VERY important. We need to be on the same page regarding the terms. I must have a $500.00 Instant down payment, thru Paypal. The balance is due in CASH, within 7 days. If you have ANY questions about the terms, please ask prior to bidding. Please do not buy the car, and then expect to change the terms. Thanks!

IL Residents : Add Tax, Title, and Plate Fees. Residents of 8 other states will be charged Tax. AZ,CA,FL,HI,IN,MA,MI,SC

Other Fees : NONE! Unlike most other auto sellers on Ebay, I charge NO extra add on fees. They call it a processing fee, paperwork fee, prep fee, doc fee, detail fee, etc. When you buy a car here, the final price is the final price! The only other charges are those required by law, see section above.

Free Drive Away Permits : Most sellers charge for these, I do not. If you are an out of state buyer, you will need one to drive home legally.

Free Airport Pick Up : Please call me prior to booking your flight. Some days work out better for pick up than others. Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday are best. Wednesday and Thursday are a little tougher, I can only offer late afternoon or early evening pick up on Wednesday and Thursday. No pick up on Sunday.

In Conclusion : Not all used cars are same.  More importantly, not all sellers are the same. Please read my Feedback, I try very hard to keep my customers satisfied. All vehicles are described in detail, no extra fees are hidden in the deal,  FREE drive away permits are provided, along with FREE airport pick up. I think you may have just found your next car.

Thanks for the taking the time to read the entire listing. I hope I have answered all of your questions about this vehicle. If not, feel free to contact me at 708.927.9990 ( Tim ). After hours and weekend calls are fine.

J.D. Power study identifies top seats for your tush

Tue, Aug 29 2017

File under News your fanny can use: The seating systems in the Ford Escape and Edge, the Audi A3, Chevrolet Cruze, Kia Cadenza, Porsche Cayenne and Toyota Tundra received top marks in a new J.D. Power study on seating and seat belt quality and satisfaction. The J.D. Power 2017 Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study asked more than 77,000 new owners and lessees of 2017 model-year cars and light trucks to rate their vehicle's seats and seat belts within the first 90 days of taking ownership. The survey is broken up into seven vehicle segments and scored on total seat problems per 100 within each segment, with awards presented to the seating system supplier. Canadian auto supplier Magna won three of seven first-place awards for its seating systems in the A3, Escape and Edge. Ireland-based Adient got top marks for its seats in the Cadenza and Cayenne. Lear Corp. won for the Cruze, and Avanzar Interior Technologies scored highest for seats in the Tundra. J.D. Power says its study is intended for automakers and suppliers with quality and satisfaction information to be used in developing and marketing seating systems. "But the results are just as interesting to a consumer audience," the company says. "After all, some drivers spend a considerable amount of time behind the wheel, and it's helpful to know which vehicles offer the most comfortable seats for those long commutes." Ain't that the truth. Ford was the only automaker whose seat systems, both manufactured by Magna, received top honors in two segments: the Escape for mass-market compact SUV and the Edge for mass-market midsize/large SUV. J.D. Power says it used 22 attributes to measure seat quality, three measures of seat belt quality and 12 to measure satisfaction. Awards were presented to the seating suppliers. Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.

Ford sets rules for dealers selling electric cars: Fixed no-haggle pricing

Thu, Sep 15 2022

Are you tired of reading about shady dealers marking up cars and taking advantage of buyers? Apparently, Ford is, too. According to The Drive, The Blue Oval issued a warning at its annual dealer conference, telling franchisees that they have until the end of October to decide whether to commit to fixed, no haggle pricing or be cut out of selling EVs. Ford is far from the only auto brand watching its dealers make up their own pricing, but it’s been one of the quickest to act on the issue. Earlier this year, the automaker split its business operations, with one part of the company focusing solely on electric vehicles and powertrain development and the other continuing FordÂ’s gas vehicle development. If dealers want to sell EVs, theyÂ’ll have to opt into the rules for Ford Model E (the brandÂ’s electric business arm) — one of which is a commitment to transparent, no-haggle pricing. Once theyÂ’ve agreed to the terms and conditions, Ford dealers become Model E Certified. The automaker views this as an opportunity to push more of its network toward a model that Tesla and other startups adopted. Many younger buyers favor direct sales, as it limits the in-person time required to buy a car and makes the purchase process easier for many. This is undoubtedly an annoyance for dealers, but theyÂ’ve long been asked to make investments to promote new products and initiatives. The shift to electrification has required the franchisees to make even more significant commitments, and in some cases, sizable financial investments, to meet automakersÂ’ new requirements. Automakers, including Ford, have provided off-ramps for dealers not interested in making the switch to EVs. Cadillac saw an exodus of more than a third of its dealer network after it issued new rules for electric vehicle sales. Ford will likely see some attrition with this policy change, but itÂ’s offering dealers an opportunity to “spend more to make more,” so to speak. Stores already committed to selling EVs can promise to invest an additional amount – up to half a million dollars – to build additional chargers and invest in other equipment. Those that do can earn an “Elite” designation on their Model E certification and are not subject to allocation limits and other speedbumps that other certified dealers see.
