This is still a BEAUTIFUL MUSCLE CAR!  I was surprised after washing it and taking a closer look at it and thats what really matters, its looks!  You aren't going to buy this car for its mechanical abilities, your buying this car for its AMAZING LOOKS and impressive body condition.  NO extensive rust damage to the body that I could find which is surprising only a little rust on the bumpers.  There are some small spots where the paint has been chipped off near the doors and the corners of the hood but only small stuff.  Take a look at the impressive photos!

The car IS a project car though, the engine is NOT running, it might need new brakes, and I noticed that there is no battery.  The spark plugs were taken out to see if the engine would turn over by hand and it did, that was about a year ago.  Thats downside to the mean machine.  I'm selling it for my grandmother who has owned it since 1969 when the family purchased it.  It has been stored under roof for many, many years and taken care of.  Its time to find an enthusiast who will value and love the vehicle.  The car is located in Honolulu, Hawaii so you can make a trip to Hawaii and pick up the car of YOUR DREAMS!

Please only serious buyers and look closely at the photos for indications of the mechanics of the car since I don't know much about what is still working.  It rained right after I washed it so the car is a little wet in the photos.

I will be reducing the price on a daily basis 100$ or so to inspire more interest so don't let this BEAUTY go home with someone else.  GOOD LUCK!

A lot of people have been asking about shipping.  I did some research about what is involved to get the vehicle to the continental US.  I have used a Pashahawaii.com before for shipping a vehicle to Hawaii from San Diego.  It was smooth and easy.  I anticipate that what will be required is a "Bill of Sale" document that needs to be notarized here in Honolulu with the seller (Me) transferring ownership to you.  The car must be shipped with in 30 days of sale here on eBay.  No ownership transfer will happen if funds are not received.  Because the car isn't running, a third party can be used to tow the vehicle to the Pasha shipping dock.  That third party is Adp 808-495-0095 (peter).  It is $1250 to get it from Honolulu to San diego, that is the only port where pasha ships to.  The remainder of the shipping to your home I have no idea about.  I don't plan to do the shipping portion of this for the buyer,  I am just trying to get the information to you.  My ideal situation is that the buyer shows up in person, pays for the vehicle, then we head to the bank to notarize the "bill of sale" and then the car is towed to the shipper.  Also, the pasha ship leaves Honolulu on Feb 5th and March 5th, only once a month.

GOOD LUCK everyone, we currently have 110 people watching the vehicle on ebay!

Ford pits The Stig against Gran Turismo 6 in Focus ST Goodwood run

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world great automotive gatherings. So, it was the perfect event for Ford to give the refreshed 2015 Focus ST its world debut in front of a loving public. It even surprised us with a new diesel-powered version, as well.
The Blue Oval really put its focus on making the ST a better driver for this refresh. It left its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder alone to still pump out a respectable 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The changes like a retuned front suspension, electric power steering and improved interior made the hot hatch an even better place to spend time behind the wheel.
To prove that the Focus ST is still as potent as ever, Ford set up a one-on-one race up the Goodwood Hill. But instead of putting the two cars side-by-side, former Stig from Top Gear UK, Ben Collins, piloted the real model up the course, and his rival drove the virtual version in Gran Turismo 6. The two hot hatches set off at the same time to see whether reality could beat the virtual world, and the finish was actually extremely close. Scroll down to watch the video and find out the winner of this battle at Goodwood.

NHTSA investigating Ford's solution to May 2014 power steering recall

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a complaint that Ford's response to a May 2014 recall of the 2008 to 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner doesn't quite go far enough to solve a troubling power-steering problem. Roughly a year ago, Ford recalled nearly a million vehicles after it was found that a problem with the torque sensor's communication with the power steering control module could cut steering assistance for drivers. While manual steering would still be available, the problem was enough to ask drivers to report in to have the PSCM inspected, and if necessary, replaced (along with the torque sensor, or in dramatic cases, the entire steering column). That would only happen, though, if trouble codes were being thrown. If there weren't any problems, dealers were told to simply update the PSCM's software so that any issues between it and the torque sensor would simply throw a visual and audio warning – power steering would still be maintained. The petitioner claimed that following the recall work, he still experienced a problem with the torque sensor. According to NHTSA, a claim was made that Ford didn't go far enough in its solution to the problem, and that "the software update itself may in fact cause further issues with the affected vehicle's power steering, causing it to fail, and ultimately requiring replacement of the torque sensor or entire steering column." The petition was filed in early February and is now officially being looked into by NHTSA.

EPA says fuel economy test for hybrids is accurate

Mon, 26 Aug 2013

The EPA says it stands behind its fuel economy test for hybrid vehicles following controversy about the testing process after Ford C-Max Hybrid customers and automotive journalists alike struggled to achieve 47 miles per gallon, the advertised mpg number, Automotive News reports. Ford responded to the issue almost two weeks ago by claiming that a 1970s-era EPA general label rule was responsible for the inaccurate mileage numbers, rerating the C-Max Hybrid's mpg numbers and offering customers rebates. Ford later said it didn't overstate the C-Max Hybrid's fuel economy and that it was surprised by the low numbers.
Ford technically didn't do anything wrong because it was following the general label rule, but agency regulator Christopher Grundler says the automaker was exploiting a loophole when it came up with the hybrid C-Max numbers, and that the testing process remains accurate. The general label rule allows vehicles that use the same engine and transmission and are in the same weight class to share fuel economy numbers, but it doesn't take into account other factors such as aerodynamic efficiency, which affects hybrids more drastically than non-hybrid vehicles. Ford originally used the Fusion Hybrid economy figures for the C-Max Hybrid and claimed the engineers didn't realize that its aerodynamic efficiency would affect fuel economy as much as it did.
