I have a 1961 For Falcon that i don't want to sell but I have to. I have all the original paper work on this car from the dealership, and the owners manual, it even has the original dealership sticker on the back of the car on its original black paint. I even have original receipts from oil changes from the 60's. The car has a turkey attack mark on the passenger side door from the original owners farm in Wichita Kansas. The guy I bought from basically trailered it to SoCal. then I bought it off of him rite away. The Falcon was bone stock with 64,440 original miles on it. I drove this way for about 3,000 miles on it before the 2nd gear blew in it. Then this started the snow ball of changes, my father had a 302 bare block in his garage that he said I could have. But i wanted my car back faster then that so i bought a ford Maverick as a parts car. the maverick also was a in-line six it had front disc brakes a 8

inch rear end and 15 inch steel wheels, oh and a c-4 trans. So i installed all these thing all except the motor, the motor was 250 c.i. and would not fit at all it was way to long. So then hear comes the bare block that my dad had. like I said this was just a block, so we started buying motor parts, witch was great way to do this because i got to buy all the best stuff for this motor to get the most out of it. SKAT rods and pistons/COMP CAM/FULLY PORTED  cast iron heads, and a port matched air gap intake, super comp full length HOOKER HEADERS, roller rockers, the distributer was curved with a PROTRONICS BY MSD installed in it. MSD coil, holley black fuel pump, and a 5 core shelby radiator, the car will drive across California and stay at about 160 "water temp" I think the car has like 370 something gears in it. Because on the freeway at like 3,200 RPM ill be doing like 80 mph. Anyways I love my car, but have to take care of my family first.
check out a video of the car running on youtube at (copy paste)  http://youtu.be/7BzkW5sqeRE

Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh

Sat, 26 Jul 2014

Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.

Ford lowers MPG ratings on six vehicles

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Ford has announced that it will be lowering the fuel economy ratings on a number of its 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles after an error was discovered in the company's internal testing data. The EPA has been notified.
Worryingly for Ford, the vast majority of the vehicles affected are hybrids, including the C-Max, Fusion and MKZ in both hybrid and plug-in varieties (where applicable). Also covered as part of the rerating is the entire lineup of 2014 Fiesta engines, with the exception of the ST, including the turbocharged, three-cylinder EcoBoost.
The C-Max was originally rated at 47/47/47 mpg, but dropped to 43/45/40 last year and now to 40/42/37.

Ford EcoBoost successful because of Soviet laser weapons system expert?

Sun, 28 Jul 2013

Mike Kluzner is a man of many talents. Not only is he the software engineer responsible for fuel system diagnostics for Ford globally, he "got his start designing laser weapon systems capable of disabling the navigation systems of enemy satellites" for the former Soviet Union. Quite a résumé, wouldn't you say?
You may be asking yourself the same question that popped into our minds upon reading about Mr. Kluzner: What do laser weapon systems have to do with Ford and its EcoBoost engines? We'll let the man answer himself. "The same process for analyzing key physical relationships works for what we do today in engine combustion, catalyst chemistry and mechanics," says Kluzner. "These are all part of Ford's software engineering expertise." Who are we to argue?
Ford also employs an engineer who previously designed software to detect damage to the heat tiles on the International Space Station, as well as one who's past work involved particle physics, says the automaker in the press release below. David Bell (pictured above right), global boost system controls engineer for Ford, describes the software running EcoBoost as "the secret sauce" that makes the technology work as the driver intends and demands.
