1956 FORD FAIRLANE CUSTOMLINE VICTORIA

This is an extremely nice and rare Ford Customline 2 door hardtop.  The paint is a beautiful combination of black and pearl.  The mechanics of this vehicle are absolutley flawless.  The interior is in exellent condition along with all of the glass.  This car is super nice looking and dependable enough to be driven from coast to coast.

The mechanics of this car are perfect.  The engine is a 5.0 liter V-8.  It has dual exhaust with pipes running through the factory rear bumper.  It runs just like new.  The transmission is an automatic with overdrive.  The transmission shifts perfectly.  This vehicle is equipped with Power Steering, Cold Air Conditioning, and 4 Wheel Power Disc Brakes.  The P.S. works perfectly and can be driven with one finger.  The A/C is extremely cold.  The brakes work perfect and will stop on a dime. This vehicle needs nothing mechanically.

The condition of this vehicle proves it has undergone a meticulous restoration several years ago.  The body is very straight.  The paint is still slick and shiny.  The color combination is perfect.  The chrome is very bright and shows very little age.  The paint does have a few blisters just above the wheel openings in the rear.  The paint is still in tact.  The floorboards and trunk pan are rust free.  Needs very little cosmetic detailing to be a show car again.

This Customline has new 15" tires on American racing wheels.  When cruising in this car you will feel absolutely no shakes or shimmys.  It steers straight down the road without pulling to one side or the other even when braking.  This is an excellent riding and driving car.

Ken Block rally cars go blue in the face (and everywhere else)

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Well at least we now know why Ken Block "just ain't care" about smashing up his Ford Fiesta rally car recently. It's because he's getting a full brand makeover including a new team name, new paint scheme and even a new headquarters. Formerly known as Monster World Rally Team, Block and his Fiesta will now be competing under the Hoonigan Racing Division name, which is based out of a new 12,000 square foot facility located in Park City, UT.
As you can tell in the image above, Hoonigan Racing will replace the familiar black, white and green paint scheme with a more colorful design featuring plenty of blue, purple and red; the Monster Energy logo retains some of the car's green. The new paint scheme was inspired by Block's love of skateboard graphics from the '80s and early '90s as well as "Miami Vice-era" speedboats.
Block will continue to compete in multiple rally racing series such as Global RallyCross, World Rally Championship and X Games. The new headquarters features office space on one side and a shop for the cars on the other side. The building features plenty of stuff you'd expect from a company designed around Ken Block, including a massive gaming station for racing video games, recycled shipping containers used throughout the facility and a black bear.

2015 Ford Mustang dealer order guide surfaces

Tue, 13 May 2014

Details about the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang continue to leak out. In fact, at this point, it's more of a stream than a drip. Its option prices are already available, and now the full ordering guide is on the web for all of the trims thanks to the Mustang 6G forum. Ford is rapidly running out of secrets to keep about its new sports coupe.
The 21-page guide can be perused in the gallery below and contains all of the standard features, colors, options codes, descriptions. Generally everything you might want to know about the 'Stang is there, other than its price or power. It even shows off the available wheel designs.
The guide finally gives away the contents of the Performance Package for the EcoBoost and GT trims. The EcoBoost's package includes: A larger rear sway bar, new chassis tuning, larger brake rotors, 19-inch black wheels, retuned driver assistance systems, an aluminum dash panel, added gauge pack, 3.55 limited slip rear differential, larger radiator, heavy-duty front springs and spoiler delete. When the options pricing leaked, it indicated the package would cost $1,995. If that is the case, it seems like quite a deal.

Question of the Day: Most degraded car name?

Fri, May 27 2016

When Ford came up with a not-so-sporty version of the Pinto and slapped Mustang badges on it in 1974, that was a low point for the Mustang name. When Chrysler applied the venerable Town & Country name on perfectly functional but unglamorous minivans, it saddened many of us. But perhaps the biggest demotion for a once-proud model came when, in 1988, General Motors imported a misery-enhancing Daewoo from Korea and called it the Pontiac LeMans. The original Pontiac LeMans was a great-looking midsize car with fairly advanced (for the time) suspension design and engine options including potent V8s and a screaming overhead-cam straight-six. The Daewoo-based Pontiac LeMans was a cramped, shoddy hooptie that served only to ruin the LeMans name forever, while stealing sales from the Suzuki-based Chevrolet Sprint. Sure, using the once-respected Monterey name on the Mercurized Ford Freestar was bad, but Mercury didn't have long to live at that point. I say the downward spiral of the LeMans name was the most agonizing in automotive history. What do you think? Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
