Named for Henry Ford's historic estate, the Fairlane was Ford's mid-sized offering for 1963. With its jet-age styling, powerful Challenger engine and smooth ride, it helped pave the way for one of the grooviest, most legendary periods in Detroit's storied history.

My wife and I bought this hardtop sedan three years ago, and she's spent most of the time relaxing in our garage. While we've loved having her, we don't drive her enough and want to get her into the hands of someone who will appreciate her more. I bought her from a young medical student who used her as a daily driver and came from a family of vintage car enthusiasts. The original owner held onto her for more than 40 years and put very few miles on her-- as far as I know, the 73,800 miles on the odometer are accurate. I've barely put 2,000 on since 2010 and I've invested more than $5,000 at Mustangs Etc. in Van Nuys in getting her engine the way I want her and working on exterior and interior cosmetics. - all receipts for the repair work that I've had done since I bought her.
- clean title and registration just paid in August
- no need for a smog check
- no rust, no bondo, no shoddy repairs.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid recalled over lack of roof padding

Ford is recalling 33,021 units of its 2013 C-Max Hybrid not equipped with optional panoramic roof panels. During testing, the model in question returned testing results for occupant head injuries that fell outside of criteria laid out in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard. The issue puts occupants at greater risk of injury in the event of a crash if they are in an affected car.
The recall will begin August 19, at which time C-Max Hybrid owners can take their cars to dealers to have energy-absorbent material installed between the headliner and roof. The bulletin below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has more information.

First 1K next-gen Mustangs to carry 2014 1/2 model year?

A new report from Mustangs Daily, citing insider sources at Ford, tells us that the Blue Oval will produce 1,000 next-generation Mustangs with the model year designation of 2014 ½, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the storied marque. The commemorative half-year designation is a rumor that's been swirling in Mustang forums for quite some time now, and seems more plausible than ever with this most recent report. Certainly it's not far-fetched to believe that Ford will want to make a big deal of the golden anniversary for its most-loved model.
The story (compiled by Drew Phillips, who runs the aforementioned Mustang site when he's not directing the photography on these pages) goes on to say that the limited-run cars will be the first built on the new Mustang platform internally known as S550 (and spied testing in the attached gallery). Each car is said to carry a "special" VIN and build number, though no performance upgrades versus the 2015 cars to follow are in the works. A collector's dream then, rather than a weekend racer's.

Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
