This is a 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria Sedan with the 312 cubic inch thunderbird engine, Fordomatic transmission and finished in peacock blue and white, with matching blue and white interior. Mechanically this car is in good condition, it starts up well, runs well and doesn't smoke. The transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't clunk, all the gauges work as well as lights and turn signals. The windows roll up and down smoothly and all the door hardware works smooth (no sticking push buttons). The paint and chrome on the car is older, and it does have rust issues. There are bubbles around the wheel wells and on the bottom of some of the doors and the trunk floor would need to be replaced as well. There is a small bit of damage around the drivers side headlight as well where it looks like the car was backed into at low speed but its not noticeable right away. The interior seats are good with no rips or tears, the headliner is in great shape as well. All the carpet is there and in good condition, no rips or snares. The door panels are a little worn but still in solid shape and there is no radio in the dash but the car does have one to fit in there along with the trim plate. Also included with the car is a new weather strip rope kit color matched to the car. Overall this is a great little driver for someone who wants something they can cruise every so often. It's a classic 50's Ford with great design and still looks good. This car is by no means perfect and I am not advertising it is as such. It has it's issues and flaws but still has many many years left for someone to be able to enjoy it and get plenty of thumbs up from people as they go by. NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told Autoblog via email, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA.
