THIS IS A 2004 F-550 (EBAY SELECTION ONLY WENT UP TO F-450, BUT ITS ACTUALLY AN F-550) THIS WAS A CUSTOMER OF OURS TRUCK THAT WE HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. THE TRUCK WAS USED TO HAUL A TRAILER WITH FOAM BOARD INSULATION ONE WAY AND HE CAME BACK EMPTY EVERY TIME, SO THE TRUCK HAS BEEN HAULING VERY LIGHT LOADS AS LONG AS HE HAS HAD IT. HE IS DOING SOME DIFFERENT LOADS NOW SO HE IS MOVING UP TO A SEMI TRUCK. I BOUGHT THE TRUCK OFF OF HIM JUST TO RESALE TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER OF MINE WITH A PARTIAL TRADE BUT HE BACKED OUT WHEN HIS TRUCK BROKE DOWN AND NEEDED $3000.00 WORTH OF WORK AND HE COULDNT AFFORD TO FIX HIS. SO THIS TRUCK HAS A NEW 2006 MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION WITH ABOUT 90,OOO MILES ON THEM. THE TRUCK RUNS GREAT AND NEEDS NOTHING TO GO TO WORK TODAY. THE SLEEPER IS A PETERBUILT 379 MODEL WITH LOTS OF ROOM. THE TIRES ARE IN GREAT SHAPE WITH NEW WHEEL SIMULATORS ON IT. THE FIFTH WHEEL IS SET UP FOR LOW DECK OVER TRAILER BUT HAS A SPOT BEHIND IT FOR A REGULAR FIFTH WHEEL. AND I DO HAVE A SET OF FIFTH WHEEL RAILS THAT GO WITH IT. I HAVE THIS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I HAVE THE RIGHT TO END BIDDING AT ANY TIME. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUETIONS OR WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN OFFER, CALL WILL AT 574-361-0449.

Hennessey showcases F-250 VelociRaptor SUV
Mon, Jun 29 2015With automakers embracing smaller and smaller crossovers with each passing year, it'd be all too easy to forget about the Ford Excursion. Bigger than the Expedition (or just about anything else on or off the road), the Excursion was based on Ford's Super Duty truck chassis to put even the likes of the Chevy Suburban, Nissan Armada, and Toyota Sequoia to shame. It ceased production ten years ago now, but Hennessey is bringing it back – sort of. Feast your eyes on the Hennessey VelociRaptor SUV. The design calls for a very fullsize, truck-based sport-ute based on the Ford F-250. Only instead of a pickup bed, it's got four proper side doors and a covered cargo bay with a pair of barn doors at the back. Hennessey will fit it with three rows of seats to accommodate seven or eight passengers, and of course it'll offer a range of upgraded engines as well. What starts out with a 6.2-liter V8 producing 411 horsepower can be supercharged all the way up to 600 or even 650 horses. For those who don't want to spend their life's savings at the pump... well, this probably isn't the right choice of automobile, but Hennessey will offer an enhanced 6.7-liter PowerStroke diesel with 440 hp and 880 pound-feet of stump-pullin' muscle. Naturally there'll be other visual and mechanical upgrades on offer as well, but none of this will come cheap – or fast for that matter. Hennessey will take six months to put one together, and demand nearly $160,000 for the conversion.
2013 Shelby 1000 unleashes its 1,200 horsepower ahead of NY show reveal
Fri, 22 Mar 2013True story: Last fall, I had the opportunity to spend a week with Ford's new 2013 Shelby GT500 - the Blue Oval's factory Mustang with 662 horsepower and 631 pound-feet of torque. It's an amazing beast, to be sure. I'm not sure if it was Michigan's damp streets strewn with potholes and wet leaves, but at no point did I ever say to myself, "You know, Ford is on to a really good thing here, but what it really needs is about twice the power." And yet, for people in warmer climes with infrastructure in better nick - or for those whose muscle cars live their lives out on the track, there's apparently sufficient demand to warrant just such a beast.
Quick studies will recall that Shelby American launched its 1000 last year to commemorate its 50th anniversary, but it is returning to the New York Auto Show with a fresh version based on the 2013 GT500 I drove. The 2013 Shelby 1000 whips up 1,200 horsepower on pump gas thanks to beefed-up forced induction, engine internals and cooling. Wisely, it also incorporates an adjustable suspension and big brake package to make sure those ponies have the best chance being safely deployed to the ground.
What price the world's most powerful "production" muscle car? $154,995 for starters - donor GT500 not included. What, no convertible variant?
Diesel Power finds the ultimate modified oil-burner
Sat, 24 Aug 2013For nine years, Diesel Power magazine has run the Diesel Power Challenge, this year's grindfest being "a week-long torture test that features seven events, nine trucks, 8,000 horsepower, and nearly 15,000 pound-feet of torque." The road to being crowned "the most powerful truck" starts with a dyno run, and then continues through the completion of a CDL-style obstacle course, an eighth-of-a-mile drag race while towing a 10,000-pound trailer, a quarter-mile drag race without a trailer, a fuel economy test in the mountains and finally a sled-pulling test through a 300-foot-long packed-mud pit.
What kind of trucks get into such a fight? Last year's winner, for instance - who upgraded his truck this year to prove he didn't "luck into the win" - drives a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty with a 6.4-liter Power Stroke V8 upgraded with a custom intake, Elite Diesel triple turbos and a two-stage nitrous system. Another competitor has a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 powered by a 5.9-liter Cummins inline-six, upgraded with Garrett turbos, dual-stage nitrous, a seven-inch exhaust stack and twin fans built into the bed to cool the Sun Coast Omega transmission. The numbers on that truck: 1,255 horsepower, and 2,063 pound-feet of torque at the wheels. Naturally, as the image above might suggest, things don't always end well.
You'll find all five videos covering this years challenge below. A scene in the dyno video sums it all up perfectly: a competitor leaves his nitrous on too long and the crew is treated to some ominous poppings, he leans out the window, throws both hands up and shouts, "Amer'ca!"
