You can now order Domino's pizza from your Sync-equipped Ford

The news keeps pouring in from the Consumer Electronics Show now underway in Las Vegas, and the latest comes from Ford which has announced two new apps for its Sync AppLink system.
First up is a cooperative app launched by Ford together with Domino's Pizza that lets drivers of the former order pizza from the latter right from their car. The service allows those with Ford Sync AppLink in their car or truck and are registered with a Domino's Pizza Profile to place an order for their favorite pie using Dearborn's voice-recognition software for either pickup or delivery. Save your information in your Pizza Profile and it'll be sent to your house without even the push of a button, which strikes us as awesome a use of technology as we've ever seen.

2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year finalists revealed

The finalists for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year were announced Tuesday at AutoMobility LA ahead of the 2016 LA Auto Show. Approximately 60 judges, including Autoblog's editor-in-chief Mike Austin, evaluated over 40 vehicles and named three models as the finalists in each category. The award for the Utility Vehicle of the Year is new for 2017 and separates SUVs, crossovers, and minivans from pickup trucks. The finalists are: Car of the Year: Chevrolet Bolt Genesis G90 Volvo S90 Truck of the Year: Ford F-Series Super Duty Honda Ridgeline Nissan Titan Utility Vehicle of the Year Chrysler Pacifica Jaguar F-Pace Mazda CX-9 The winners for the 24th annual NACTOY awards will be named on January 9 at the Detroit Auto Show. Ford F-150 pulls semi truck through snow-clogged Chicago streets

Earlier this week, the Midwest was crippled by a massive snowstorm that dumped a foot or more of powder in some areas. The result was, of course, transportation gridlock. It's a fortunate thing for this stranded semi-truck driver, then, that a Ford F-150 EcoBoost stumbled upon him. Despite a tow rating of just over 11,000 pounds, the four-wheel-drive, turbocharged pickup managed to dislodge the big rig from a snow-covered street. Of course, the Ford didn't get the semi moving all on its own – watch the video towards the end and the semi was quite clearly spinning its rear tires. Still, it's an impressive feat that we've little doubt F-Series fans are celebrating. Related video:
