Up for sale is my 1995 F-350 with a 12v Cummins Conversion and Compound Turbos. I completed the truck 2 years ago and have put about 5,000 mi on it since the build. The truck is reliable I drove it from Texas to Florida in December towing a 14,000 lb trailer. I have not driven the truck in 3 months, I have 2 other trucks and this is the reason for its sale. I would like potential buyers to come take a look before they buy. I would give this truck an 8 out of 10 for a daily driver. I am going to list the bad below.

Bad-Ding behind driver side back door, occurred when I was putting in the rear seat. The edge of the roll pan pictures will explain better. slow fuel sender in the front tank, takes a while for it to show full when you fill it up. Oil leak from where the turbo drain is in the oil pan, it is not a drip but it does cause a film and dirt sticks to the white oil pan. Spider crack in driver side fender where front fuel door used to be. All these are minute, But I built the truck so it bothers me.

The Good

Exterior-Truck is a frame off build, frame was por-15
Paint is cobra white with silver pearl and about good quality but not show quality
Fuel filler doors have been moved to the bed and shaved from the fenders.
Wheels are 22.5 semi wheels, rears are 18in wide and brand new front and rear.
HID headlights

Everything is painted underneath fuel tanks, axles, drive shaft.
Interior- all new
Suede headliner, black Katz skin leather seats, black carpet, all door panels have been sanded smooth and shot with high gloss black.
Sound system is 3 12's with 3000 watts does not rattle you out of the truck sounds good and has an adjustable bass knob by steering wheel.
Flip out head unit and large flip down tv

Cold A/C
Drive-train-
12v cummins diesel 117,000 miles
5x14 injectors- tuned correctly not to blow smoke unless you lug it or get on it but does have a slight haze at idle due to aftermarket injectors.
042 delivery valves
Air Dog for fuel delivery

Remote mounted oil filters- so you do not need to remove any turbo pipes to change the oil.
Compound turbos s480 bottom
O-ringed head and head bolts
Hamilton cam
Hamilton valve springs

Dual electric fans
Dual disk valair clutch and Reman transmission.
Upgraded driveshaft.

Truck does have a hitch just was not on for some photos- truck has 5,000 mi since build. located in Jupiter,FL

Reserve is set at a more than reasonable price for this truck. Much lower then the buy it now. If you need more Pictures, want to see it in person, or just need more info message me.

24 Hours of Le Mans live update part two

Sun, Jun 19 2016

We tasked surfing journalist Rory Parker to watch this year's live stream of the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. What follows is an experiment to experience the world's greatest endurance race from the perspective of a motorsports novice. Parker lives in Hawaii and can hold his breath longer than he can go without swearing. For Part One, click here. Or you can skip ahead to Part Three here. I write about surfing for a living. If you can call it a living. Basically means I spend my days fucking around and my wife pays for everything. Because she's got a real job that pays well. Brings home the bacon. Very progressive arrangement. Super twenty first century. I run a surf website, beachgrit.com, with two other guys. It's a strange gig. More or less uncensored. Kind of popular. Very good at alienating advertisers. My behavior has cost us a few bucks. I'm terrible at self-censorship. Know there's a line out there, no idea where it lies. I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. For contests I do long rambling write ups. They rarely make much sense. Mainly just talk about my life, whatever random thoughts pop into my head. "Can you do something similar for Le Mans?" "Sure, but I know absolutely fuck-all about racing." "That's okay. Just write what you want." "Will do. But you're gonna need to edit my stuff. Probably censor it heavily." So here I am. I spent the last week trying to learn all I can about the sport of endurance racing. But there's only so much you can jam in your head. And I still don't understand any of the technical side. Might as well be astrophysics or something. While I rambled things were happening. Tracy Krohn spun into the gravel on the Forza chicane. #89 is out of the race after an accident I missed. Pegasus racing hit the wall on the Porsche curves. Bashed up front end, in the garage getting fixed. Toyota and Porsche are swapping back and forth in the front three. Ford back in the lead in GTE Pro. #91 Porsche took a stone through the radiator, down two laps. Not good. The wife and I are one of those weird childless couples that spend way too much time caring for the needs of their pet. French bulldog, Mr Eugene Victor Debs. Great little guy. Spent the last four years training him to be obedient and friendly. Nice thing about dogs, when you're sick of dealing with them you can just lock 'em in another room for a few hours. You don't need to worry about paying for college.

Long winter means most automakers won't curb summer shutdown

Sun, 18 May 2014

A lot more happened during this latest brutal winter than days of snow and Netflix binges. Automotive sales took a battering. After all, going out car shopping when it's eleventy-billion degrees below zero isn't a good time.
Because of this Old Man Winter-induced sales slump, inventories are abnormally high as we head into the summer car buying season. That's led some analysts to predict that automakers will be more inclined to idle factories this summer, in a bid to trim some of the built-up inventory. Traditionally, American manufacturers offer up a two-week break in the middle of summer, although the burgeoning sales of the past few years have seen this practice become less popular.
"We're likely not going to see an acceleration this year," Jeff Schuster, a senior vice president at LMC Automotive, told The Detroit News. "We'll see production increases in 'pockets' but I don't know if it will be as widespread as in recent years."

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website.
