1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty Lariat Extended Cab Pickup 4-door 7.3l Auto, Clean on 2040-cars
1999 Ford F350 Lariat Extended Cab 4x4 Super Duty with a 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel engine and automatic transmission.
8 foot Bed Power Locks and Windows, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control Manual hubs and Floor shift 4x4 Good tires, newer brakes, new windshield, and push plates for a Fisher Minute Mount Plow. New 4" exhaust from the turbo back. This truck has never been chip tuned or modified. It has factory aluminum running boards, Rhino liner spray in bed liner and a color matched visor above the windshield. I have every receipt and service record since this truck was new! It has been meticulously maintained and runs perfectly. I am the second Owner and a Non Smoker No accidents. I installed a new B&W Flip over Gooseneck hitch with complimenting Air Lift air springs last summer and used it 3 times. These photos were taken a year ago. I have put 17,000 miles on it since. Truck is being cleaned and detailed this week so I will update with current photos at that time. This truck has been maintained and recently gone over with a fine tooth comb by a diesel engine and 4x4 specialist and has had all recommended service done. The truck cost $38,000 in 1999 when it was new and I have the original dealer sticker that came with it. I purchased this truck to pull a toy hauler, but now I need a truck with a higher GVWR to haul a heavier trailer. I don't want to give up this well maintained 7.3 PSD but as it is, our truck gets used infrequently and I don't want this to sit around. I've looked into converting this to a dually and upgrade the suspension, but have decided it would decrease the value of the truck and be too costly so I am leaving it stock as is. The exterior of the cab is very clean. It has some rust spots starting on the bed and wheel arches and the passenger side cab corner is rusted. The interior is complete and very nice with no rips or holes in seats or dash. It has tan leather seats, carpeted floors and a flip up middle console to seat 6 passengers. No rips or tears in any of the upholstery. It has a factory AM/FM Radio with CD player. It has cruise control, tilt wheel, air conditioning and 4x4 shifter on the floor. Power windows and Locks, Power drivers seat, and wiring for a trailer brake controller. The trip calculator in the overhead console does not work. I never looked into why. The GVWR is 9,900lbs. It has factory alloy wheels and matching Firestone Transforce AT Load Range E (265/75R16) tires that are about 50-60%. The Transmission shifts nicely, the engine starts well in the cold, block heater works, 4x4 works flawlessly. It has Fisher Minute Mount Plow push plates installed by the previous owner but no wiring for the plow. I purchased this truck through a dealer who took it as a trade from the original owner. The glove box had a folder full of repair and maintenance receipts from the original owner. The previous owners spared no expense having everything kept up. I believe they purchased this new to haul a camper and to plow snow at their homestead. You are welcome to look through the entire stack of maintenance records for more clues. Aside from minor rust on the body from being in the northeast most of it's life, it is extremely clean and well cared for. Recent Work done in the past year includes: New Rear Caliper New Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor with new Stainless Steel Tube Differential Fluid Flush and Replacement New exhaust manifold New complete 4 inch exhaust system from the turbo back Regular oil changes with Rotella T 15W40 oil Upper radiator hose inlet pipe replaced Fuel shut off valve o-rings replaced Fuel filters Air filters New windshield to replace recent crack from a rock Major items replaced by the previous owner include: New Torque Converter New Oil Pan Deposit will be accepted via Paypal or cash and final payment must be in the form of a Bank issued check or Cash. They are also telescopic, meaning that you can manually extend them when pulling a trailer for wider visibility. It also has factory aluminum running boards, a Lund colormatched sun visor, factory aluminum running boards, and factory mud flaps. The truck has push plates (front mounts) for a Fisher Minute Mount Plow but the truck does not come with a plow or wiring harness for a plow. I can to help facilitate pickup if a buyer chooses to ship this vehicle. I have received a number of calls to inquire about a buy it now price. I would like to see the auction run its course but eBay will also allow me to end the auction early if I negotiate a price with an eBay member and process the sale through the site. Call me if you would like to discuss a buy it now option. On Feb-14-14 at 19:48:53 PST, seller added the following information: Added Information 2/14/14: The truck is wired for and has a mount for a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller. Wiring will work for many other electric trailer brake controllers as well. Brake Controller not included. On Feb-15-14 at 11:12:31 PST, seller added the following information: Added Information 2/15/14: The truck was photographed again this morning. 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Power Stroke
Tue, 29 Jul 2014What weighs 30,000 pounds? Big Ben's Westminster bell. A navy ship anchor. Or as we found out during our first drive program for the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, seven pallets of cinder blocks loaded onto a dual-axle gooseneck trailer. The test was part of a raft of towing demonstrations that showcased the new Super Duty's impressive tug capacity, which maxes out at 32,100 pounds. That's 1,200 more than its nearest rival, the Ram 3500, when equipped with its upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8. Such is the heavy-duty pickup truck business, a diesel-fueled game of one-upmanship with only three players: Ford, Chevrolet/GMC and Ram. And in this game, the one with the most torque wins.
Until 2014, Ford was the one to beat, with its 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel bringing 400 hp and a massive 800 lb-ft of torque to the table. Then last year, Ram did exactly that, serving Ford with a beefed-up Cummins turbodiesel inline-six in its freshened Ram Heavy Duty truck line with 385 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to tow up to 30,000 pounds. But Ford claims it had designed its engine to be relatively easy to upgrade when the time called for it, so for 2015, Ford bolted a larger turbo to the Power Stroke, bringing output to an insane 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of twist, all without reducing fuel efficiency. Maximum tow capacity rises from 24,700 lbs to an incredible 31,200 lbs for the F-450 dually.
As for GM's HDs? They lag behind the lot with their 6.6-liter Duramax V-8, producing 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, you know things are serious when the trucks with 765 lb-ft are the knock-kneed wimps of the lot.
Ford running short of F-150 frames
Sun, Jun 7 2015Like most any automaker, Ford is eager to build as many F-150 pickups as it can sell. And considering that the truck has long stood as the top selling vehicle in the United States, that means building (and selling) a lot of them. Further, Ford reports that its factories are finally fully up to speed and ready to build as many F-150s as dealers can sell. Unfortunately another factor is reportedly preventing the new aluminum-bodied pickup from reaching its potential. According to Automotive News and as we've heard before, the Blue Oval automaker has had trouble getting its hands on as many frames as it needs. Though Ford would not confirm the shortage itself, AN cites union sources in reporting that the Metalsa plant in Kentucky, which produces the new F-150's frame for Ford, has been unable to meet the demand for more such frames. "Whenever you have launches, you have issues that you have to deal with in the supply base," is all Ford CFO Bob Shanks would admit. "We're always working closely with suppliers if there's an issue to sort it out. If that were the case, that's what we'd be doing." The reported supply shortage could be why plans for overtime production are reportedly being canceled at both the plants in Kansas City and Dearborn where the F-150s are assembled, despite reaching or nearing full capacity. The shortage could also help explain why, according to AN, sales of the F-Series in the United States fell nearly 10 percent last month, while the rest of the pickup market rose 17 percent. EarthCruiser adds a bigger camper option to its heavy duty pickup line
Tue, Sep 29 2020EarthCruiser is a camper and expedition vehicle company based out of Oregon that we've previously covered for its huge commercial truck-based machines. But they offer more than that, from drop-in campers for smaller pickups to heavy duty pickup conversions. The company's latest product is one of the latter, offering a larger camping area than the current EXD model. This new camper conversion is called the Terranova. The big differentiator between it and the EXD is the camper section, which extends over the truck cab on the Terranova. This means that bed space can be moved to above the truck cab, instead of having to use a convertible dinette. So less reconfiguring, and generally more usable space. One other major difference is that the EXD is only available for the Ram 3500 and Ford F-350. The Terranova is being designed for both of those trucks as well as the Chevy Silverado 3500. The EarthCruiser Terranova is otherwise very similar to other EarthCruiser models. The camper section is made of fiberglass and plastic, and the pop-up roof is insulated with foam. The curtains are triple-layered. The company says it can house four people. It comes with a freshwater tank and pump to help supply the kitchen sink, drinking water tap, bathroom sink and indoor and outdoor showers. There's also a cassette toilet. The kitchen features an induction stove top and small refrigerator and freezer. A fan system is standard, and air conditioning is optional. Power comes from a 400-aH lithium-ion battery. The Terranova isn't yet available. EarthCruiser is finishing up design and engineering, and it plans to have finished examples early next year. The company is taking reservations now, though. Pricing hasn't been announced, but an EXD runs between $220,000 and $265,000, and we would expect the Terranova to cost even more.
