2005 Ford F-250 XL 4x4 diesel. This truck has 103,444 miles with a 6.0 power stroke engine and a automatic transmission. The underside of the truck is pretty clean with no major leaks and it has never has a snow plow on it. The 4x4 works good and it drives straight down the road. It runs and drives great, there are NO service engine soon or ABS lights on on the dash. It runs smooth, transmission shifts smooth, it doesn't start hard or smoke when you first start it. It is a regular cab long bed. The body is in good condition, there is a little surface rust starting on the bottom lip of the doors and there is a small dent in the front bumper and one in the front fender. The wheels are stock Ford chrome rims and the tires are BFG rugged trail T/A. The rear tires have a little over 50% tread left and the fronts are a little under 50% tread left. The brakes are in good condition. This is a base model XL work truck but it does have a lot of power options. It has bench seat, power windows, locks, cruise, tilt, A/C that works great, power towing mirrors, bed liner, hitch, brake controller, and rear back up sensors in the bumper. It has a clean title and clean car fax report, NO accidents. It has two new Interstate batteries and a new IPR valve. This truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. The miles might change a little due to still driving it. Ford's simple suit makes you feel like a drunk driver
Tue, Mar 25 2014We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Ford unveils its facelifted Falcon finale with new XR8
Thu, 24 Jul 2014While its days may be numbered, Ford isn't just going to let its Falcon sedan limp out for the Australian market. No, the Blue Oval is releasing a refreshed Falcon for its final years, and it's lead by this, the new XR8. That's right, this dead-car-driving is going to go out on a high note.
Ford's global design DNA dominates the looks of the new Falcon, with a grille reminiscent of the US market Fusion and the European-market Mondeo. The headlights aren't a straight port, and boast their own unique LED running light pattern (at least on the XR8), but the overall look is strikingly similar. Out back, LED taillights highlight the rear of the Faclon. Despite the substantial new fascia, this is still a mid-cycle refresh. That means most of the rest of the Falcon's body panels are carryovers from the current model.
The XR8 model, shown above, arrives with a supercharged V8, allegedly displacing 5.0 liters. Unfortunately, details on the Falcon's mechanicals are in remarkably short supply. Ford has committed to a range of turbocharged four, as well as turbocharged and naturally aspirated six-cylinders, in addition to the V8, although specifics on those mills aren't available.
Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
