Just a very good utility truck. Engine is a reman. and starts and runs like a new one.(We have no records on when it was installed). Transmission acts perfect. Drives much nicer than it looks or should. We bought it to replace our 77 F250 Utility, but just found a 79 supercab XLT with a bad 460 and an Isuzu powered donor truck. Don't need this on the farm anymore. Remember to double click on picture for larger images. Please read description and look at pictures before you call. Thanks! Air conditioning is cold. Heater is hot and warms up fast. Wish our Dodges did. Stahl high quality body. Needs one left door on box, as shown. For some reason, rust got to it. Notice the picture of the right rear (Inside the body). It has some accident damage that is visible inside the body only. Stereo, cruise, gauges, lights, all work as they should. Glass is all good. Windshield appears to be new. Seat is typical. Tires are round, black, and hold air; probably 20% all around. 10 plies. I'm still driving it, but it was getting late in the day; so I didn't get some of my junk out of it. I will. I will also probably put a few more miles on it that are showing. Overall this is a very good usable unit, or do what we were going to do and make it into an XLT and paint it. It is a fairly easy project, with just a few small dings. We might have a pickup box available if you want to make it into a good mpg run around pickup. We haven't scored an XLT seat for it yet, or it would be in it. Has working CB unit and a Tekonsha brake control and receiver hitch already installed. (I am adding this note on 12 28 13. I moved the unit today and the glow plug relay and/or timer seemed to be having some issues. I had to cycle it several times to get it to start. Hopefully it is just from getting wet when I washed under the hood. Anyway any used vehicle has some issues, we just like to pass along what we do know; so it is not a surprise to you. We want to keep our 100% feedback, even if it costs us a few dollars occasionally.) $500 down is due within 48 hours of auction end unless prior arrangements have been made. Remainder is cashiers check or bank wire or? We will work with you. Allow cashiers checks 2 weeks to clear our bank. Add $100 to end of auction price to help pay for Ebay and Paypal charges and our help in loading the unit, if you don't want to drive it home. Bus pickup in Ogallala, Ne or DIA shuttle pickup in Sterling, Co is $50 cash to driver. We automatically reject bids from anyone with less than 5 feedback and 100%. So if you are one; we still will let you bid, if you contact us first. We have been the first Ebay purchase for many folks. We ship worldwide to confirmed addresses with Paypal payment. As for us: We are Dodson Motors, Inc. at 219 N. Pennsylvania Ave., PO Box 206, in Venango, Nebraska 69168. Ford Fusion demand outstripping supply
Sat, 15 Jun 2013The attractive new 2013 Ford Fusion has done wonders for the brand in the highly competitive midsize sedan segment - the vehicle is up nearly 22 percent compared to last year. But that sales momentum may soon hold steady due to low inventory levels of the new Fusion across the United States.
According to a report in The Detroit News, citing automotive data and Ward's Auto, Ford currently has a 39-day supply of the Fusion. That might sound fine, but a normally healthy average is about a 60-day supply. If Ford were to stop production on the Fusion today, there would only be enough vehicles available to get through another five weeks of sales, according to the News.
Currently, Ford produces the Fusion at its three-shift assembly plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, and will add production at its facility in Flat Rock, MI later this year. A Ford spokesperson told The Detroit News that when Flat Rock production comes online, the automaker will need to rush new stock out to the regions with the most demand for the Fusion. Ford has doubled its coastal retail market share, with huge amounts of growth in areas like Los Angeles, San Francisco and Miami, the News reports.
Ford's BlueCruise gains hands-free lane changes and more in update
Fri, Sep 9 2022Ford is sending out an update to BlueCruise that will enhance its functionality with some nice features we tend to enjoy on other advanced driver assistance systems. Plus, in addition to BlueCruise getting the update, the Lincoln version named ActiveGlide will get the same update. For starters, both BlueCruise and ActiveGlide will gain hands-free lane changing. Similar to other lane-change assist systems, you’ll prompt the lane change by activating the turn signal. ItÂ’ll scan for traffic, and if all is clear, the vehicle will move into the requested lane. Ford says that itÂ’ll even suggest lane changes to the driver in the cluster as you approach slower-moving traffic. What this new feature doesnÂ’t do, though, are automatic lane changes. Systems like Super Cruise and TeslaÂ’s Autopilot will recognize slower traffic, then make a pass all on their own to move around said traffic — theyÂ’ll even move back over into your previous lane after making the pass. We wouldnÂ’t be surprised if Ford adds this functionality to the system in a future update. Another update in this release is new “In-Lane Repositioning” programming. ItÂ’s designed to recognize when there are vehicles in adjacent lanes and will then shift you further away from them within your lane of travel. Ford says itÂ’s especially helpful when passing semi-trucks, and will give you the usual and more comfortable buffer that a human driver might give a truck. The final update is a Predictive Speed Assist feature that will adjust your speed as you approach a curve. It will signal to the driver in the cluster that the car will slow for a curve, then do so gradually as you approach it. This is the sort of feature we typically like to turn off as soon as possible, since weÂ’d rather just remain at the same speed for curves on the highway. But, if youÂ’re one of those folks who like to slow down for curves on the highway, this will provide a more natural driving feel. Ford says that customers have cumulatively put over 16 million hands-free miles on cars with BlueCruise at this point. This update, simply named 1.2, for BlueCruise and ActiveGlide will see its initial rollout this fall. It will hit the Mustang Mach-E first, and Ford says other vehicles will follow. Ford also opening up EV, hybrid patents, with a price tag
Fri, May 29 2015Like Tesla and Toyota before it, Ford is seeing the light when it comes to freeing up alternative powertrain patents. Of course, the Blue Oval does things differently, so free doesn't mean no cost. Instead of making its electric vehicle patents simply available to anyone, Ford is going to sell off its EV tech for an unspecified fee. Ford says it has 650 electrified vehicle patents and another 1,000 or so pending EV tech patent applications. Ford filed 400 such applications last year alone. To buy these patents, interested parties should contact Ford's technology commercialization and licensing office or work AutoHarvest. Or, you know, you could just go get Tesla patents for free. The jury is still out on whether these open patent programs are being used. The Tesla program, for example, didn't seem to be all that exciting to most OEMs right after it was announced. Ford has six vehicles with some sort of electrified powertrain: the Focus Electric, Fusion Hybrid and Energi PHEV, Ford C-MAX Hybrid and Energi plug-in hybrid and the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. The only full EV in that group, the Focus Electric, starts at $29,995. Ford Opens Portfolio of Patented Technologies to Competitors to Accelerate Industry-Wide Electrified Vehicle Development Ford is opening its portfolio of electrified vehicle technology patents to competitive automakers to accelerate industry-wide research and development of electrified vehicles In 2014, Ford filed for 400-plus electrified vehicle patents – more than 20 percent of the total patents the company applied for last year Ford is set to hire an additional 200 electrified vehicle engineers this year as the team moves into a newly dedicated facility – Ford Engineering Laboratories – home to Henry Ford's first laboratories DEARBORN, Mich., May 28, 2015 – Ford Motor Company is offering competitors access to its electrified vehicle technology patents – a move to help accelerate industry-wide research and development of electrified vehicles. In 2014, Ford filed more than 400 patents dedicated to electrified vehicle technologies. This is more than 20 percent of the patents the company filed – totaling more than 2,000 applications. "Innovation is our goal," said Kevin Layden, director, Ford Electrification Programs. "The way to provide the best technology is through constant development and progress.
